I hear the Palladiums don't even sound like the typical klipsch speaker.... I hear they are so refind that they don't sound like a horn. You should have listened to them anyways.

It's precisely what I heard from the salesman but look I had only so much time and wanted to make sure to Audition the Ikon 5 with the greatest attention.

ok folks, i nabbed me an RC-lcr....there was a few on the bay for $355. And as I sent questions to the seller I noticed he lived close to me, in Huntington Beach to be exact. So after some back and forth e-mails with the seller I cruised by his house and picked the best one out of three, but they were all pretty equal (excellent condition) except for one was missing one of those binding post straps. Got it home and removed my much larger BIC center speaker and in went the LCR and boy as voices clear I'll give more when i can listen more

I have been real happy with my setup but have been contemplating adding side surronds to create a 7.1 setup.

Problem is, I would love to have the C-R100's to make my C-Series complete but that is highly unlikely.

Wondering what other side surronds would work for me ??? I have been looking at the CR-10 ?? but not sure ?? anyone have these that can comment ?? Am I going to notice any sound issues when matched up with my existing system ??

Any ideas ? I am open to any and all !

Bytor has them and got them from FS for 249 a pair so you could wait for the next price drop and buy and you always have the 30 days return policy from FS.

I say give them a try.

in listening to the CF-50s and the C-300s I can't say there is much of a difference at all. I have been to BB and listened to the CB20s, CC10, CB10s, CF50s and CF70s. While the 70s offer more bass then my C-300s, the mids and highs, which is what you're mostly concerned with sound really similar, if not identical. Id say get the CR-10s, and I think you would be plenty pleased.

Thanks Callas01 and BigAl87. I have heard them and thought they sounded good. FS has them at their reg. price, so I will wait for them to go on sale and pick them up. Just hope the finish goes well with the C-Series. Excited now. Will update when hooked up and put to the test (3:10 to Yuma and Rambo )

Just picked up a another pair of RC-R surrounds so I am finally 7.1 for reals. They are no longer on the FS website as they are on clearance now. They will make deals just to get rid of them. The last sale price was $199.00 so deals can be made.

yeah, i have the cr-10 as my back speakers on my 7.1, and i think that they sound great. i was also lucky enough to get them on sale about 2 weeks ago for $250, but once that week long sale was over, bam, everything went right back up to regular price FS seems to have a sale on every couple of months or so, so i would hold out on it until you can save a couple hundred on them. $450 is alot to spend on some rears, in my opinion anyway

newegg.com has them on for $350 plus you get a $100 gift card from them, but that ends today http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882269010

and you can get them on amazon.com for $350 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

now considering we are right now at 96.82 on the exchange rate, your only going to end up paying a few bucks more, and in the long run, still saving money to buy them from an american site rather than thru FS. i have bought from both sites before, and have no complaints.

I guess the new Veritas have been released last week for purchase at a few specialty retailers so we should have some reviews soon. Here's a link to the press release including MSRP for the U.S. Still seems more like an RC speaker than a Verita to me but I still really want to hear them. We should be seeing them real soon..

I picked up a pair of RC-R over the week-end at FS as well. The last pair suppossedly in Alberta !! Got them for $350/pair after some dickering...

Hooked them up yesterday and they sound ... loving them... question is now, what is the best bracket for attaching them to my walls ??? Any ideas RC-R owners ??

Had been deciding between the RC-R and the CR-10 ... Do not think I will regret getting the RC-R's !!!

While I think they are closer to the RCs then the Veritas as well. I think they will prove to be a better and improved speaker over the RCs, just reading their website it seems they have added things and made improvements not seen in Energy speakers before. The CSM is now imployed on all of Energys speakers, the neodymium motor with heat sink has never been used that I have read about, there are different crossover points then the RCs(esp. on the 6.2 v RC-50/30s).

I'd really like to hear them as well. Be interesting what everyone thinks of them.

Default 3 RC Mini Centers for 3.1 system?

I am setting up a 3.1 system in our living room and need some help. I have pretty much decided on the RC mini line. We have little kids running around and I am trying to compromise with the wife . I am coming from a soundbar so anything will be better, lol. I already have a yamaha receiver and a Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Compact subwoofer. I was originally going to go with a pair of RC mini's and an RC mini center. Now I am thinking about just buying 3 RC mini center's and either wall mounting them or putting them on stands. I read on Energy's website that the RC mini center can actually be used as an LCR speaker. Would I be better off doing this? Would I get more sound out of the 3 centers versus just 2 mini's and a mini center? Ideally I would probably have to wall mount the center's because they might be to tall standing up vertically. Money isn't an issue as the bookshelf and center mini's are close in price. If there won't be that much of a difference, I will just order a pair of bookshelfs and a center. Thank in advance!

I'd like to hear them as well. I called my local dealer last week, but they haven't received the Veritas line yet.

Callas, do you know if they use the same tweeter that is in the RC series? I know the RC series used the same tweeter that the older Veritas line used, I'm curious if Energy has stuck with it.

Congrats on your RC-R's Pretty much the same price I paid as well. As for mounting here' s what I did. I needed to mount the left one over top of a wall unit, but with the hanging mount that came with them, it would have restricted the sound from reaching the sweet spot were I listen. I found a pair of extended arm swivel mounts that extend the speaker out another 6 inches and that solved the problem for me. They also have a regular length swivel mount as well. Also they hold up to 25 lbs too! The company that has them is vantage point which is based out of California but they dont ship to Canada. However they provided me with the distributer here in Canada who shipped them to me from Ontario via fed-ex. If I can find my invoice, I will get you the 1-800 number.

here is the link to the site to see what they have as to what will work for you!

Regards!
