Maybe that was the wrong choice of words. For instance they neither play as low or as loud as the towers, for them to play just as loud you'll need to cross them over higher. Depending on your sub and crossover point they may not have enough output to match up with your sub at a lower cross over. This will most likely only apply if your using a big powerful sub though.

I was using the Paradigm Sub 15 with my Studio 20's as the mains and it was just a bit too much for them to keep up with. I think they'd pair quite well with a nice 12' sub though.

I then had to provide them with the test tones to prove the speaker was speaker was broken, only then did they fix the speaker under warranty. It seems like the burden of prove is always on me there, don't have a lot of confidence in them. There used to be a fantastic Paradigm dealer here in town that was great to deal with, unfortunately they went out of business.

I've tried to contact Paradigm once before and got told to go through the dealer, I'll try again anyway.

All the connections have been gone over numerous times and everything is good. I've run ARC according to all the instructions in the Anthem manual and the FAQ guide on AVS. I haven't been pushing the volume really high either, the curious thing is that each time a woofer has blown it's on the right side. That has me wondering and I don't know how I could do anything else to avoid the problems I've been having. It's been a very frustrating process.
Aces, any update from your dealer regarding the MRX and speaker?

The speaker has been repaired under warranty and I sold the MRX a week ago. The dealer listened to the MRX briefly and said there was nothing wrong with it and refused to send it to Anthem to have it checked out. I had already decided I was selling no matter what the outcome was so I didn't care or argue about it, just glad to be rid of it.

How is the Integra in comparison? Your old MCA is being sold. Didnt know it was 10 years old.

The MCA was a power amp, which I sold quite some time ago. I just sold the MRX avr. How could it possibly be that old? I think your getting the two confused. I can hardly keep up with myself sometimes, so your not alone.

Haven't received the Integra yet, should be here Mon or Tues.

No no I meant the guy who actually bought your MCA is selling it again. He tells me it's 10 yrs old.

You've gone through so much equipment in so little time you've got a wealth of knowledge :-) I hope at times it's because you actually WANT the change and not that you're forced to change.

I'm just extremely picky, that's all. Usually your only forced to downgrade, not upgrade.

Really beat that guy down on the price, that's what he tried to do to me. Anthem has been around for quite sometime but I don't remember exactly how old that amp is. It's definitely not a new amp but was mint and worked perfectly when I sold it.

I'm not going to bother with him. Didn't sound too knowledgable over the phone. I asked him if he had the boxes and tells me he threw them out right away. I don't like that lol.

Quebec sucks for USED products I can tell you that. Ontario isn't any better. Seems like the West Coast guys know that a used item isn't suppoed to be priced at 75% of the MRSP lol.

My guy with the Parasound never called.
Another guy with 60s v4 never called.
The dealer who I got my MRX has some 100 v5, they never replied to my email.

Seems like no one wants my money. I did find a pair of 20v5 for 875$ CAD shipped. Seems like a decent price? What do you guys think?

*cough cough* if I don't get my freaking hum issue worked out soon I might be looking for a Humbuster

Hey guys I have a question. I have recently added an anthem statement a5 to my setup and I can't seem to get the crisp detail from my fronts studio 100 and cc690 that were heard in the dealer showroom. The only real difference in our setup is he was using and statement d2v processor an I have an Denon 3808CI avr. I'm not sure if I just have the settings wrong on the Denon or if the d2v is just that good. I really can't spring for that right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would say it's a combination of the D2v and the room. Does the the dealers room have acoustic treatments?

It was a treated room. He demoed a scene from gladiator and you could literally hear each sword clashing together. It was amazing. I was sort of disappointed when I could not replicate the same in my house.
