Mine has Blu-ray discs. Not 9 DVDs.

By far the best way to see the original trilogy is on the THX approved laserdiscs. However the same scans, but neither colour corrected nor THX approved, can be picked up much cheaper on 2006 limited edition DVDs.

I've got those DVDs and they look good through a blu ray player. Not sure they'll appear on BD.

They have THX on them, why are they not approved?

I'd rather have something without THX approval than with, that's one of the worst 'quality assurance' programs of all time.

£2.50 in my local Tesco during clearance a few years. Some git bought a bloody trolley full of them and other box sets. He bragged he was off to Cash Convertors ...

I would have too. Most people are civilized during a clearance sale, but the amount of people you see that just pick up everything planning to take it all to CeX is growing.

My only problem with the trailer is that it's about 133 1/2 minutes too short....

It was during a clearance a few years back, so Game of Thrones box sets, the Star Wars Saga, Lethal Weapon set were all £2.50 along with console games and other stuff. He filled his trolley. I'm not sure how many he had but he had dozens of sets according to the security guards.

Tesco go nuts on occasion, they've sold laptops for £30 with TVs and cameras about the same.

£30 was my limit for the old set, so if it hits that price on Amazon, I'll most likely get that. Otherwise i'll get the new version with better front cover!
