I think she flew off in one of the Ravager's ship. After she fell off the Cree ship. She fell on a Ravager ship and she tossed the pilot out and flew off

I didn't think.it was as amazing as the hype, but a solid film. All the Guardians were great, but my Big issue with the film was the super poor villains. None of them get any real time so we get a sense of why they are being evil....they are just there. Houston and Gillan were so wasted.

Being a growing fan of Karen, I thought it sucks how underused she was actually.

4/5, mostly for the visuals, score and the charm of the five Guardians. Just ish they had better written bad guys.

There is a second scene that could be considered a stinger/tag scene after the movie ends, but it actually plays immediately, before the credits start to roll.

I went to the 7 pm show and loved it so much I got right back in line for the 10 pm. Seriously, could not have liked it any more. I'm actually kinda p!ssed at how awesome it was, cause now I have to wait three frickin years for more. I want sequels, spinoffs, animated series, prequels... I want it all. (And just for the record, both times the crowd absolutely roared with laughter at the post credits scene. I have no idea what that character said because everyone was laughing so much.)

Great, great movie; may go again in a few hours...

I disagree with the people saying the villains weren't in it enough. The amount of peril was so high that focusing on them would have been too distracting. We needed to see what the guardians were going to do.

That was my point. Only way it could be believable that Marvel would make another H the Duck movie is if they were on drugs

After the much anticipated wait, we have arrived and I was so ready for this!

Having never read the source material before, I really didn't know what to expect tonight, but the mystique is what had me so excited to watch. The movie starts off on a downer then after the Marvel logo, sit back, strap on your seat belt, and get ready to go on the cinematic ride of your life.

The best way I could describe it was Farscape on steroids or The Avengers: Outer Space Edition or half Shoot 'Em Up / half Hangover. Whenever there wasn't any fighting or shooting or stuff blowing up, it was joke after one-liner after funny moment. I couldn't stop laughing, I was in damn near tears as Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon took turns trying to one up each other in making the viewer roll in stitches.

Chris Patt played the likeable a--hole who doesn't give a fu** a.k.a. Pine's Kirk perfectly. Zoe Saldana was a green Columbiana. Vin Diesel was unrecognizable as Groot as he repeated his line throughout the movie, but even the giant talking tree had his moments.

Rocket's voice wasn't Australian or Jack Nicholson-like or just Bradley Cooper talking. No, he went with a
[Show spoiler]New Yorkish
accent which shocked the sh** out of me as I was not expecting it, but it worked.

The biggest surprise was Dave Batista. Physically imposing and fear invoking as Bane was yet Batista showed new fans and reminded haters why he made a name for himself to begin with: charisma. He held his own and left a memorable impression with his portrayal as Drax. My hat's off to him and the rest of the team for being variant in their personalities. It was like an RPG party.

Michael Rooker was a blue Merle Dixon.

Karen Gilllan as Nebula didn't get much screentime, but her character was just as impressive and beckons her return.

Lee Pace as Ronan was just Thranduil if he was an overpowered alien pharaoh.

My favorite part was Thanos. His name kept being dropped and while he only had 3 minutes of screentime, it took me out of the movie finally seeing one of my favorite Marvel villains coming to life as I sat in my chair exactly like this: as Josh Brolin gave the bone chilling performance leaving viewers on edge with a haunting smile.

Its always a huge gamble to introduce aliens and other out of this world elements, but the writers did a great job helping those not familiar with the obscure property immerse themselves into this intergalactic free for all. The CGI was spectacular. The soundtrack was fantastic and introduced kids these days to what real music is in Red Bone and Marvin Gaye. The slow motion scenes weren't overdone. And there were even some serious moments to ground the over the top mayhem.

Marvel made their version of Star Wars. I know that's saying a lot, but I really didn't have much to complain about what I saw and this movie should be remembered for years and years to come by this generation of movie goers.

Everything just clicked. It was all magic. And while some may be disappointed with the climax as they were expecting more, it made sense and I was okay with it given the circumstances. It was like watching the swordsman scene from Raiders of The Ark really.

Guardians Of The Galaxy surpassed The Winter Soldier and rivals The Avengers. It was THAT good much to my exceeded expectations! The film even got a round of applause from my audience when the credits rolled.

Some nerds sitting behind me were saying how much of a great job Ron Perlman did as Thanos. I wanted to correct them, but chose not to. And after it was all said and done, there is no greater feeling than re-living your childhood and that's exactly what the post credits scene did to me. It was a wonderful reunion after almost 3 decades as nostalgia overcame me! The surprise cameo got a great pop from the crowd. Of course, some girl asked who that is and I turned around and yelled "That's [SPOILER] The Fu**ing [SPOILER]!!!" She knew who he was after I reminded her apparently and became just as ecstatic as I was.

As I left my theater tonight, I already know I will never have that kind of whirlwind experience again. I'm hooked on a feeling and I want Guardians 2 already as the film leaves you on a cliffhanger for another fun filled adventure!

In short, believe the hype. This movie will blow you away.

This movie was everything I expected it to be and more! Loved every minute and it's nice to see how they tied this in with the rest of the MCU after everyone thinking it wouldn't fit well. I'd give it a 4.5 but rounded up for the poll.

I revisited The Avengers recently and I'd have to say I'm putting this film above that as well. My top three would have to be GOTG > CA: Winter Solider > The Avengers and Iron Man coming in right behind them.

[Show spoiler]See that makes sense. When I watched it I thought she landed on Rocket's ship and threw him out. Then I realised Rocket''s was he was still in his ship. So I assumed that she had therefore hit Rocket's ship and then fell off.

If she threw out someone else and flew off then I could believe that. It's so hard to remember exactly what happened! It's one of many things I'll have to watch for the second around.

The movie succeeds in nailing the split between dramatic and comedic perfectly. This is by far the funniest Marvel Studios film to date and just about every single piece of that humor hits dead on. There are so many moments in the film that make you want to pause and continue laughing for a minute before continuing on. But when it is time to be serious it does not feel forced or unnatural. Other Marvel movies have struggled with this balance in the past, so its great to see both of their films this year finally get the tone for their stories perfect.

And not just the humor/drama balance is done well, but also the balance between small, intimate scenes and huge epic action sequences. Like some others have said, one of the best scenes in the film is not the big third act or the prison sequence (both of which are really good), but simply a scene of the five main characters sitting in a circle talking for like 10 minutes.

Picking a favorite Guardian will be a great debate groups of friends will have among themselves when watching this movie. I fully expected Groot to be my favorite character, but in the end it was actually...Drax. Bautista is not the best actor around, in fact, he is the weakest actor of the main cast...but he did very well with what was needed of him for this role. I just wish that his story had gotten a little more development in the film as the other four of the group's story got more time and effort devoted to them I felt. As for the rest of the group, Pratt, Diesel (I hope he gets to do the mo-cap next time) and Cooper are great with their individual roles and will likely walk away as the three more popular picks for favorite Guardian. Saldana is the weak link here for me. She did well with her role and I enjoyed it, but just significantly less than the other four.

Lee Pace turns in a great performance as Ronan. My only complaint about him is that he was not around enough. Any time Pace was on screen, though, he just killed it. He's not as charismatic a villain as Tom Hiddleston's Loki (but come on...who is?), but he is probably my second favorite of the villains of the MCU so far.

Another slight issue I had was with the voice of Thanos. Now...it's not that I did not like it entirely as I am one of the people who is super excited about Josh Brolin getting the role, it was just that I had hoped they would alter his voice just a little to make it sound slightly more 'villainous' or 'god-like'. As it stands, we have Josh Brolin talking about the infinity stones, not Thanos. I'll probably settle more into it on a repeat viewing next week, but for whatever reason it just irked me a bit when I first watched it last night.

I won't spend much time discussing the soundtrack of the film because all that needs to be said is that it is an integral part of the film and is spot on perfect for the movie.

In the end, Marvel knocked it out yet again for me. I don't know for sure where it sits among my Marvel Studios rankings, but I know it is 3rd at highest however. For me, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World are still my two favorites. After another watch next week I will probably be able to more accurately place it. But as I say with each of my Marvel Studios movie reviews...it isn't much of a big deal as besides Iron Man 3, I have given each film the same rating since the first Iron Man...

Rating - 4.5/5
Oh gosh, he loves it

Its really surprising to see the buzz that this movie is getting, just a year or so ago some of us including me was saying this is going to be a disaster for Marvel good to see that it came full circle...my kids and I will be hitting IMAX on Sunday for this and we can't wait.

Like Diesel mention in his review, who is our favorite guardian will be the discussion for sure on our ride home.

I saw this last night and I thought it was amazing. A lot of funny moments from rocket. The thing I loved most was seeing fresh faces, Seeing new characters and expanding the MCU. Really liked the post credit scene. The soundtrack was awesome as well.

That first trailer made it seem like the movie was going to be some sort of joke, as if Marvel was punking us.

Surprise, surprise, the comedy was genuinely hilarious, and the movie developed a surprising amount of pathos from two CGI characters. Groot can make people cry despite his limited vocabulary. That is awesome.

I can't really bring myself to get excited about this movie. When I watch the trailers, I feel like one of those old people who complains about everything being too noisy. There's just so much going on that it's almost overwhelming.

Based on the reviews, though, I might give in after a couple of weeks, when the crowds die down.

Yeah, I feel the same way. This was a very good, entertaining, and surprisingly funny film, but it ain't THAT great, people. Let's not get carried away here. Lee Pace was lame as Ronan. I actually thought Gillan was far better in her role. Luckily she had almost as much screentime as him.

Other minor nitpicks were the score which was serviceable, but not memorable. I don't think I can recall a single motif from it, although in fairness, a lot of the soundtrack is made up of 70's tunes. Chris Pratt was decent but somewhat bland as the lead. Han Solo, he ain't. And the final act with the big battle dragged on somewhat and got a little boring. I don't know why Marvel feels like every one of their movies has to end this way. Do something different for a change.

Now for the good stuff. The supporting cast was fantastic. My biggest concern all along was the concept of a talking raccoon, but Rocket absolutely stole the show. Groot came in a close second. It's fitting they cast Vin Diesel as the voice cuz his arc all the way through the very end was a lot like the Iron Giant's. Batista was great as Drax. I always thought he had potential as an actor when he first showed up in the WWF(no, I will never call it WWE), but who knew he'd be able to handle a comedic role so well? The CGI complemented the story and didn't overwhelm it(take note, George Lucas). Gregg Henry got a cool cameo(it is a James Gunn movie, after all). And the script was solid. I knew almost nothing about Guardians of the Galaxy, but I was able to follow along for the most part and there were some very funny lines in there.

I just wish we were getting the next movie in 2 years and not 3. I'm definitely eager to see where they take these characters next(other than possibly the 3rd Avengers movie of course). I'll be curious to see how it does at the box office. It's a good flick, but it's so unique in the Marvel series compared to what's come before it and based on a minor comic book property that you never know what'll happen. Especially with James Gunn's extremely thin resume.

BTW, I don't know how I feel about the stinger. I was disappointed that they didn't try to set anything up or link to any future Marvel film. Unless of course they're putting out feelers to see if fans want that character to get his own movie in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gunn uses him in the next film, honestly. He was really, really excited by the fact he was getting to introduce the character. So I'd say he's probably going to get to have a bit part in the Guardians 2, which is fine by me.

Just curious, for those of you who saw this at the IMAX, how much did you end up paying for your ticket? Mine was about $20, and it seems ridiculously high
