I hate to break this to you bud, but you're the one to blame in this scenario, not HBO Max.

The director has said in an interview with Variety that there will be no extended version. He likes movies two hours or less and that’s what he planned and shot for.

Thanks, I actually started watching G v K today. Plan is to watch it in chunks this week and then rewatch it all in 1 shot again at least once this weekend. The exam is in the only class this term I'm not getting an A in, mainly because of a difficult professor, so I'm moderately stressed about it lol.

G v K is good so far, excited to see where it will go.

I watched it at 2am on my 5 inch phone, and the PQ was spectacular. And I'm seeing it this afternoon on a 75 foot screen, the biggest one in TN.

A good movie is a good movie, no matter how large or small the screen is, and this is a fantastic "popcorn movie". GvK is exactly what theaters need right now, a crowd pleasing summer action movie over a long holiday weekend.

If you're happy that's fine but I'd never want my first viewing of something on a phone or laptop. I'll see it Friday night in Dolby.

I'd rather watch Pacific Rim or The Meg.

Godzilla 2014 (Gareth Edwards) was decent, but King of the Monsters was a decline and Godzilla vs. Kong is another decline.

So is there an end credit scene? What's the runtime? 10 hours away from watching. Very happy to see mostly positive reviews. We're going in seeing the first trailer only so really fired up!

That's kinda on you. "It's meant for the big screen" but you turned around and decided to watch it on a MacBook. And I really doubt that's how a lot people are watching this.

I at least can treat my TV as a big screen if I sit close enough in complete darkness, never with a phone or a computer screen.

Well, my thoughts on the movie, after having just watched it? Weak. There's no denying that the Godzilla and Kong scenes were pretty spot on. But, the movie was weak. I would rate it as my least favorite of the Monsterverse films. I just felt that Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters were much better films. The humans, in the movie, felt like someone just threw them in there as an afterthought.

The humans in the first film, Godzilla, felt more interesting than in Godzilla vs Kong. It was a good effort, GvK. But, they really should have written the movie better.

Could've done without the podcast/conspiracy theorist subplot, but otherwise I loved it. I'm sure people will complain; they'll be wrong again.

It's funny that you mentioned that. I tried to stay away from any plot details but I was more like "WTF was up with the forced laughs"? It reminds me of Anthony Anderson's work on the first Transformers movie. The humor just felt out of place and destroyed any momentum that the plot was trying to build on.

Local pub food and this on my new 65" with friends (all vaccinated) around 7pm tonight. I cannot wait.

If the movie is balls to the wall amazing, I may venture to the theater sometime soon. But we promised Black Widow would mark our return to theaters. I'm bummed it got pushed from May...again.

It's probably a credit to how good the movie is that I was able to enjoy it so much without the size and scale of a theater.

Surely watching it on a mobile device will dampen many people's enjoyment of it. The pure spectacle of a movie like this surely increases people's enjoyment.

I WAS in a bit of a theater/Max dilemma with Regal theaters reopening in a couple days, but then I looked up reopenings and mine isn't reopening until May 14, so my decision is easy, especially with me having the day off of work. HBO Max it is.
