No problem in the supply chain my end. A Clockwork Orange 4K arrived yesterday.

This one’s for Vilya. I bought the Sky glass tv. As I am a loyal customer, I was able to pre order straight away. It should arrive very soon. I’m using it as a bedroom tv which is fine as my home is detached. I did some research and it didn’t seem the best option for gaming (PS5/PS4). The pictures look slick. It is chunky but I still think it looks nice. It’s going on a stand anyway.
Sky offer a hardware upgrade every two years so will see how it goes. Good enough for the streaming services and Sky’s own 4K offerings plus broadcast.
If I understand correctly, I can buy a puck to attach to the living room tv to get the exact same features. (You can’t just buy a puck on its own)
Delays have rarely affected me, but even when they have it just means that I get to enjoy the anticipation of a new arrival for a little longer.

While I fat shamed this Sky TV back when you first mentioned it, I am nonetheless happy for you now that you have decided to buy it. I hope that you very much like the "big boned" girl.

I don’t claim to know any specifics from “insiders” but the lack of replication capacity in North America is starting to bite now we’re into Q4, always the busiest time of year. Paramount have been pressing discs overseas and shipping them to the US but again, with the usual squeeze on shipping and worldwide freight at this time of year plus the other “issues” the world is still grappling with, it means some stuff is gonna be delayed.

There are still more replication plants in Europe than in North America IIRC so yeah, we’re largely unaffected by those logistics so far e.g. UK Scream UHD is on the way.
Supply chain issues affect pretty much every product made and this has been covered extensively on all news outlets; Mr. Foams At The Mouth is only attempting to regurgitate this well known news as it may apply to a single product: 4K discs. Foams At The Mouth's mere parroting of the news does nothing to improve his utter lack of credibility everywhere else.

The small Walmart at Pisgah Forest NC (here) has increased its disc display. Do not have pictures from before so it means nothing to take any now.

The spouse said she had to update her Walmart app and the new one wants here to sign up for Walmart+ for online ordering. It appears to me Best Buy, Target and Walmart is trying to replicate the success of Amazon online ordering. Best Buy, Target and Walmart may come to regret all the lobbing they did to get laws passed where Amazon and other online merchants had to collect taxes without a physical presence. I believe in the coming years Amazon will start to include B&M in their business model.
Sorry to tell you this, but our local Walmarts don't count. The St. George store is the Punxsutawney Phil of all economic indicators; what it does alone foretells the future of all.

Remember years ago when I told you guys that our Best Buy had cut down on their Disc Displays, and you guys had to call and check it out. It doesn't take a Marketing Expert to know if a Product doesn't sell, it's time for a change....It seems our stores might be Trendsetters!

The product sells. It just sells better online.

Visit all the Walmarts and Best Buys that you want; it doesn't matter what they stock in store as both of their websites sell a vast selection of discs. Walmart and Best Buy would not offer discs online if people were not buying them; you don't need to be a marketing expert to grasp that fact, either. If you had been paying even the slightest amount of attention during your many years on this forum you would have realized long ago that most of us buy the overwhelming majority of ours discs online.

Online shopping offers a far better selection, competitive prices, and it is extremely convenient. You're not the only one who values convenience after all, but unlike you we are not willing to sacrifice quality and genuine ownership just for its sake.

In case you are naive beyond belief you should know the trendsetter in disc sales is Amazon.

If one prefers they can buy BD online from Best Buy [here] (17898 items), Target [here] (10, 551 titles?) or Walmart [here]. There are several other smaller outlets as well.

Quite a few if you buy iTunes gift cards there.

I can't hold the back the tide. Whatever the future brings that's just how it goes. I can say that for now there are more physical movies than I can afford and if at some point the concept gets left behind I'll be all the more happy for having been part of it. I'm glad for what I can do.

You can't count iTunes gift cards as they can be used for a wide variety of things offered by Apple such as "apps, games, iCloud storage, subscriptions like Apple Music, and more." It would make just as little sense to assume that the purchase of a Best Buy gift card meant that people were intending to use them to buy blu-rays. There's no way of knowing how a gift card will be used. Gift cards are not merchandise like a physical disc or a title specific digital copy movie card. Merchandise is also subject to sales tax when purchased; gift cards are not.

https://support.apple.com/en-lamr/HT201209

I was at my local Walmart tonight and while it can't hold a candle to the prophetic one in St. George, Utah I can tell you that there were no title specific digital copy movie cards for sale. Not a single one. They still sell cards with digital codes for specific video games, but not for movies.

I mention this because my local Walmart used to sell title specific digital copy movie cards. There used to be a whole end cap display of them, but it is long gone. I'm pretty sure that they don't sell them online, either. The trend then is clear: no one wants to buy digital copies of movies.

I can also confirm that my local Walfart has not reduced their disc section. Still waiting for that memo from the St. George store, I guess.

I plan to get that one solely because I read your review. It was almost startling to hear how you gushed over it.

Didn't partake of the CC flash sale yesterday. Was gonna get the Van Peebles set but had to hold back. I'll wait until the November sale comes to get the 4K releases. I'm also going to wait until Black Friday deals arrive, which they will. They did last year and most of the WB titles were $9.99 and less, so that's when I will pounce on Clockwork Orange.

I read that the DTS audio mix was harsh, how did you find it? I have ordered it anyway as it comes with a decent mono track too. I must have this film.

I watched it with the mono, but when I went back and tried a few scenes with the 5.1 it had a kind of harsh ‘electronic’ sound to it, it’s hard to describe.

For those that like nature shows and have AppleTV+, there is a series called Earth at Night in Color. Do not remember any other nature night time video in color. IMHO, this one's video is quite good, it has Dolby Atmos track but in the first 2 shows it was very limited in use.
