[Show spoiler]Despite the fact Like Crazy is incredible and only cost $250,000. Of course it was a simple movie from a production standpoint. Doesn't change the fact it's one of the best movies of 2011.
Mean Creek is one of my all-time favorites and one of the best of 2004 (that was a great year), and cost only $500,000. Also had some of my favorite cinematography.

BUT, a movie like this should have a bit bigger budget. 5 Million would be great.

Sadly it was a rerun of the Jennifer Lawrence episode. I love her, but that episode was awful .

Just found this thread. I donated on the first day this started. I was so freaking happy. Like I literally stopped giving my brother the cold shoulder (for p!ssing me off) , that's how happy I was. I didn't watch the show when it aired, but I did become a fan somehow in early 2009 and bought the DVDs. I just finished reading this whole thread (I have no life) and changed my avatar just now.

PS: I pledged $100 so I could get the BD, and the other stuff is just a bonus. Although, I could do without the script.

I can appreciate a movie of any budget range. Still, it's a special feeling when you find a great movie made with little money but plenty of passion and heart.

I have faith in Rob and Kristen to give us a solid film that fans will enjoy even if it had only been 2 million. I think it'll keep going up though.

That is so cool. Yeah, the news made my flippin' day. Week. Year. Whatever. It's the best present I could have asked for .

I don't care about having the script on my computer. It would be cooler to have an actualy copy of the script. But I could always just print it off myself.

I also have no problem with low budget indie films. Pieces of April was great. A lovely film. There are plenty of great looking films made for cheap as well. Another is All The Boys Love Mandy Lane. Gorgeous cinematography!

I haven't seen it yet but apparently the recent film Dark Skies had only a 3 Million budget. Veronica Mars is looking at at least 4. If anything I guess I would really like to see the number of backers increase. Show WB how many fans this show had that are willing to pay money to see more.

Speaking of this, does anyone know how much an episode cost to produce?

They could shoot this movie on a camera phone and I'd still watch. And enjoy. Lol

theres plenty of crap, but some good ones too. Justin Timberlake was great last week (as usual).

The truth is, there have ALWAYS been horrible episodes. Even back in the original cast years. People just only remember the good ones and so they look back and remember the older years as being so much better. When in reality there was just as much crap back then.

About $1.8 million for a 40 - 45 minute episode.

Cinematography is sexy.

It'd make me happy if Veronica Mars was the most backed (number of backers) project ever. If it had 500,000 backers, whether or not most just gave five bucks, that would be awe inspiring.

I rarely watch except when there's someone on I love. Not really any original cast members at the moment that I care about. For some reason though, and I don't know why, I kinda find that "Girlfriend Talk Show" skit really funny.

I know! I love great cinematography. Like, some movies I'll be interested in because the cinematography looks so good. I hear the new Evil Dead has great cinematography. It does look like it will from the ads. The 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre was gorgeous.

Finally crossed the 3.6 Million mark. Took forever. Can't some celebrity fan like donate a million or something? Meryl Streep, are you a fan?

Can't wait for the new Evil Dead film(s). Need to re-watch TCM 2003. Saw it when I didn't appreciate horror or cinematography as much as I do now.

When it comes to style and aesthetic I quite like 70s/80s low budget or foreign horror. I should watch more of those. The grainy stock has grown on me.

I thought High Tension looked great. And boy did it ever sound fantastic. Watch that baby on Blu-ray with surround sound.

I can't wait for this, I was shocked when my gf told me about the kickstarter and then a day later, they met the goal. Really pumped for it, will be great to see Kristen Belll back as VM.
