Yeah I saw that too. It has come in handy for when I want to watch them on the back room TV that has no BD player...

Damn, I used the DVD version when my friends want to see the movie and I know they are not very careful, so if they scratch the DVD disc, its wasn't a big deal.

Any word if the 2D regular Blu-ray will have a slip cover? I find it odd Disney has not released a picture of it like they did for the 3D version.

Um, so this is weird. I had pre-ordered the 3D version a couple of weeks ago on the Disney Movie Club. Today I get an e-mail stating my pre-order has been updated and it only shows the 2D version. So I give them a call and after putting me on hold for 10 minutes, the representative says that Disney has canceled the 3D version and they do not know when it will be available again. So I told them to cancel because I really only want it in 3D.

And their website still even shows it available for purchase in 3D. After the whole debacle with Frozen 3D I'm hoping this doesn't start a trend.

Has anyone else heard anything along these lines?

EDIT: Just pre-ordered the 3D again and it's showing up in my order history as 3D. I guess I'll see what happens.

The press release said no mention of a combo pack. Someone probably just added a "combo pack" to the database. And I'm sure the 2D 1 disc release will have a slipcover. It's not like Disney to have a slipless release, especially a large release like Thor.

I assumed my theater's project was dimming but the dark scenes were way too dark (like AvP: Requiem). I'm hoping that's not the case for the 3d Blu.
