How far in advance do they usually announce the bonus material that will be included?

I really hope this one is packed. It pains me when a good movie is released only to have a mere hour or so of extra content.

You really think Warner will give us great, bonus packed edition at the very first day?

I highly doubt that. I think the first edition will be just theatrical version with 60 minutes of extras, and then months later Special edition (Diamond Luxe?) with B&W version and isolated score. Milk that cow, Warner!

Better watch it again quick before they yank it from theaters to make way for whatever craptastic CGI blockbusters are slated for the next weeks. I saw it again this morning, this time in 3D. The 3D is actually quite good, and made it easier to follow in some respects since the elements are more separated. I'll probably watch it in 2D again next time, but if you're a 3D nut this is a pretty good conversion and mostly tastefully done, with only one gimmick 3D shot (you'll know it when it happens, and it does fit perfectly).

This is, bar none, the best action movie I've ever seen. I'm going to make sure to see it a few more times cause I don't know if we'll ever see anything like this in theaters again. It's such a breath of fresh air in the CGI ragdoll "stunt" landscape of today. It was especially hilarious seeing the trailer for the new terminator today - seeing the CGI bus do a flip in the air like it was going to shoot into orbit and seeing the cartoony CGI terminator bounce off the ground like a rubber ball REALLY accentuated what's so great (and unusual) about Mad Max. Definitely watch that behind the scenes footage posted above, it's incredible how much of that stuff was really going on in-camera. I love that the guitar vehicle actually worked!

I'm gonna go either tomorrow afternoon, & seeing it in 3D or I've gotta go Thursday as that's the last day my local theater is showing it in 3D. Loved this movie it's one of the best action movies I've seen in the last few years.

When Mad Max: Fury Road comes out on Blu-ray, I will buy 15 copies of it because it was released on May 15th. Each night I will cuddle with 1 of the 15 copies and just dream about how amazing the film was.

I watched Dredd tonight but felt guilty because I kept thinking of MM Fury Road while doing it. Love hurts. I will still cherish the times we had, it is not you but me. I hope we can still be friends.

It is a blu-ray, the disc has much more GB than dvd's.
I expect it to come with a LOT of extras. Making-of, interviews, everything we can get from it.
I suspect it will be like the mist, and have separate discs for B&W and Color

Now let's hope WB doesn't pull a dick move like fox did with Days of future Past and at the last minute decide to hold this alternate version
For a individual release later down the road

I will buy the 2D and 3D release of this, even though the 3D comes with the 2D. Can't wait to see the artwork choices.

I have this coming Wednesday off from work. I really want to see this, but I haven't seen the original with Mel Gibson. Do I need to see the original before I see Fury Road? Either way, it looks badass!

Too bad none of the theaters around me offer Atmos. I haven't had the experience yet.

Nope you really don't need to have seen any previous MM film to enjoy this.

Anyone know what "AMC Prime" is? I went to see Mad Max again and there was something called AMC Prime. The auditorium entrance was decked out in red neon and a big LCD screen playing parts of the film- looked really cool but what the heck is this all about?

I enjoyed this second viewing but the 2 hour running time felt a little long this time. I still hope there's some kind of extended version, though. And I hope a sequel does happen and they set part of it in the ruined city. What's a post-apocalyptic flick without burned-out buildings?

Mad Max and other CGI galore popcorn flicks are not the Criterion's type! Criterion releases are films with substances.
