There is a big drop off from seeing this in 2D. Saw both in the theatre.

You'll still enjoy the story, but the effects seemed tailored for the 3-D.

Sorry for the folks that can't deal w/ it.

As far as I'm concerned, if that was true, they would have filmed it in native 3D, not done a post-conversion.

Tell that to Gravity.

Sometimes 2D cameras are just easier to work with, and the quality of post-conversions is no longer a cardinal sin.

Yeah Cap 2 had a steel. One of the few steels I was able to get on release day.
Couldn't get Thor 2 or Guardians :/
Also that steel scratched my disc. :/

The "steel" in Steelbooks is all on the outside, so it couldn't have scratched it unless you rubbed the playing side of the disc against the outside...

How does the 3D compare to previous Marvel releases? I always buy 3D and always will when it's available, but have been incredibly underwhelmed with Marvel's post-prod-converted 3D.

Standard 3D for me. My collection needs to be consistent. Can't go mixing steelies with slipped amarays. The colored amarays are cool anyways, and I have the exclusive slips wherever they are available.

I laughed when my friend said the 3D would be cool "for the ants" but i think the 3D here was done much better than all of the Phase 2 movies, except for GotG which has an inherent advantage thanks to the settings. AoU's 3D felt very bland compared to Ant-Man.

Agreed, A:AoU was a missed opportunity as far as 3D is concerned. GotG was great though. I almost forgot about that for some reason.

Is the Target exclusive content going to be on disc or streaming?

Unless they spend comparable time and money on it to TITANIC's stellar post-conversion, it's true for me. For me. The only post-conversion titles I own are ones where I just couldn't resist a retailer exclusive package.

I think both Pacific Rim and Guardians of the Galaxy are both great 3D. Check them out if you haven't.

This is going to sound weird but before Avengers: Age of Ultron came out that was the first time I had played that blu. When I bought it me and my friend bought it together and watched it at his house. So there was no need to take the disc out of the box haha.

So tried doing store pickup because shipping is disabled to get the 5$ rz certificate and only one store that's far away is showing up? What the hell? Just trying to get the standard 3d bluray.

In the while, this movie surpassed the 500 million dollars mark. It's a gigantic hit for a movie based on a c-string character.

It could just be because it's not actually out yet. Maybe the stores haven't updated yet.

I tried to do the same thing, and like you the only Best Buy that showed up was around 35 miles (one way) from me, and now it seems the $5 promo is over I'm already over it though, as I'd rather pick it up in person, that way I will have a better chance of getting a mint slipcover

So can anyone tell me where to find the in store (release day) prices for Best Buy, Walmart, and/or Target? Or can anyone tell me if the in store prices will be the same as each of their website's prices? I just want to make sure I get the 3D/2D Combo for $19.99 or less, if possible.

Also, I have 339 points on Best Buy (bought a new laptop on Black Friday ), so I can get a $5 certificate or whatever they're called, does anyone here know if I can use that in store when I buy Ant-Man, or is it for online use only?

Thanks for any responses
