I was hoping Network would acquire this series and re-release what was previously released on physical media, as well as finishing off the remainder of Sea of Souls (as far as I'm aware I don't think they released the last series and the feature-length special).

Of what I remember of the series, I quite liked the series when Dawn Steele was on the show at the same time as Bill Paterson.

Have got a very vague memory of seeing some of this when it originally aired. Read recently on Forces TV's Facebook page that soon they're starting a repeat run of sitcom No Place Like Home. Did that star William Gaunt from sixties series The Champions?

Indeed it did star William Gaunt, along with a young Martin Clunes.

The repeat run on Forces TV started last week or this week. I might try out an episode or two.

It might be out-of-print now, Eureka's complete series DVD set of Just Good Friends (which starred Paul Nicholas and Jan Francis). I say "complete", but there is apparently an edit in one of the episodes (might have been a Christmas special), where there is a sequence where a song has been muted or silenced completely.

As far as I'm aware there hasn't been another physical media release of this sitcom since (correct me if I'm wrong). I either saw some of the episodes on their original airing, or from a repeat run. I enjoyed the episodes I saw, and how they ended an episode (the end credits followed by an additional scene).

Have searched this thread and there aren't any existing posts about two series Jimmy Nail starred in in the nineties, Spender and Crocodile Shoes (the former started around the time Nail had his second UK music chart hit with Ain't No Doubt (which got to the top spot). With the latter, he had another chart hit, from that series).

I might check out Spender and see if the physical media DVD complete series set is still available (did a web search the other day for it, and found it might be out-of-print).

The rare first DVD pressing of I'm Alan Partridge was recalled because they hadn't cleared the use of Big Yellow Taxi: I believe that was muted on the second pressing.

Since I made the above, quoted post, have checked Amazon UK and Eureka's website, and the complete series DVD set of Just Good Friends is still available.

Came across this drama series by accident, while looking for an older series on Amazon UK, Chandler & Co. Two series aired on the BBC in the nineties. It had a UK DVD release several years ago. Does anyone have any recollections of this series?

UK channel Forces TV have posted a clue on their Facebook page for a 'new' series ('new' as in they haven't given it a repeat run before). A bit hard to tell who the actor is, but to my eyes it looks a bit like Richard Briers. Hoping the channel is going to be showing Ever Decreasing Circles (which I think has had at least two physical media DVD releases in the UK (it's a series I've wanted to see in it's entirety. Have been more interested in this series than The Good Life).

Me too, my childhood fave along with Huckleberry Finn And Friends and Dungeons And Dragons.

Following on from the above, quoted post, the picture clue was for a repeat run of The Brittas Empire. I did watch this on it's original run. Was it intentional that the lead character was meant to be annoying, as that's what I found him to be?

Forces TV have put up a new picture clue on their Facebook page (it's a video clip). I'm guessing classic Doctor Who.

Following on from the above, quoted post, and referring to this part of the post, the most recent picture clue was for the sci-fi series Blake's 7.

Sad to hear this past weekend about footballer Jimmy Greaves passing away. I remember watching (I think) on Saturday afternoons Saint & Greavsie (was it on after the sports programme Dickie Davies presented (World of Sport?).

Here's a deep dive that's well worth taking. Bob The Fish's review of the changing faces of ITV's regions down through the years.

The only cast member left.

Stuart Damon passed in June of this year.

ITV4 and Talking Pictures are currently showing this series. No idea what order they are in.

UK channel Forces TV are going to start showing The Omega Factor from next Monday night. Saw it in the listings last night (the channel had hinted at it recently on their Facebook page (I didn't guess what the picture clue was hinting at, but when I saw the show in the listings last night, I put two and two together. And there has been another Facebook post by the channel since the picture clue was posted).

Watched last night, a previously 'lost' episode of a sixties drama series called The Hidden Truth (the first of two episodes being shown on Talking Pictures TV this week). I enjoyed this more than the episode of Blackmail the channel showed two or three weeks ago.
