Im thinking the same thing Ill just wait for the ultimate collectors edition what you think >

I just contacted Amazon to see if they would match the $25 price for my cowl. If so I'll keep it and just print a custom disc cover for the shelf. If they don't I'll cancel and go with the Digibook day of at target. It won't match the others but I like the cover more and the Steelbook bonus seems bogus.

More then likely yes. BB has never mailed something to me in a box but some people say that if you order three or more things in the same order they send it in a box.

Why would that even be part of the movie? Nolan tells us Bruce quit, started over with Selina Kyle (wearing the pearls), left the batcave to Blake (because the whole underlining plot of the film was "it doesn't matter who is behind the mask. Batman is a symbol. Not a man. Any man can be him.), and yet people still don't want to believe what they saw. Almost like there is some "read between the lines because I am Christopher Nolan and I am a holy filmaker who puzzles people" b.s. He makes good films, but there are no mysteries to how they end. Not even Inception. And especially this film. Batman dies. Bruce did not.

I have two questions. I hope someone can enlighten me here

1) Is there ANY US based edition of this bluray that has a Special Features Bonus disc ?

2) Regarding the BB exclusive Steelbook, is the documentary a digital download, or is it present on the Bluray disc, or both ?

Not giving me the $27 on the cowl so I cancelled it. Oh well, I have enough Bat-merch and have been spending too much on the Hot Toys anyways. Don't need a little plastic cowl.

Picked up the trilogy boxset today. Does include the bonus disc for TDKR. Guessing the stand alone edition also includes the bonus disc.

What are "spider wraps?

This really mystifies me. Did they just not include the bonus content? Or did they crush everything and squeeze it onto one disc - wreaking havoc with the PQ & AQ? Either way, U.S. DVD buyers get shafted.

Definitely not if they've shipped. It'll be like a game of chicken.

No-one who's talking has yet seen the BB freebie. It might be on a disc, but it appears more likely that it's a download only deal.

Spider wraps are security devices stores use to prevent theft. Much like plastic security boxes they, more often, damage the product in the process! I guess even theives won't touch the damaged product!

I thought the 3-disc dvd set was odd too! I guess that would mean it's movie only with maybe a couple small extras that fit? That's why I'm trying to find a US dvd trilogy unboxing or some pics just to confirm. No luck so far.

Oh man, same boat with Hot Toys. I just bit the bullet on Joker 2.0 even though I have DX-01 Joker

I spoke to some folks I know at Best Buy today and learned a little bit of nothing. A customer service rep didn't know that Amazon was beating their price on the Trilogy by $10 and was willing to price match it - but couldn't until they get it in store (she went back and checked "the warehouse" when I explained the mystery behind BB's two versions of the Trilogy). Nada.

So, they still don't have it to look at and see if the Exclusive Content version has 5 discs or not (like the regular version, Dark Knight Trilogy [5 Discs/Blu-ray]). They told me that only Sunday's newspaper ad will tell them if they're going to PM Amazon - and on which version. I'd rather get it at Best Buy and pick it up Tuesday than wait for Amazon (as I type, my Oct. 8 preorder is still not "shipping soon" - and still shows a delivery estimate of December 10-13, 2012!)

The ad for next week has already been seen. The trilogy set is on sale for 29.99 next Tuesday.

Outstanding! Where was that seen? Got a link? If that's confirmed, I can cancel my Amazon order before it gets processed.

Do you know if it was for both versions?

Amazon's pre-order price guarantee should cover you up to the day of the release.

So, for example, if Amazon ships your copy on Monday for delivery on Tuesday, and then they price match Best Buy's $18.99 on Tuesday, you should get the $18.99 price. I've received several minor refunds from situations like this.

If someone drops their price to say, $16.99 on Thursday, though, they won't match that on your pre-order.

Target has actually been using these les & less for dvds/blu-rays, but they still need to get rid of the plastic security boxes that are too small.
