Jurassic Park The Lost World is very underrated and contains one of the best sequences in the franchise with the trailer over the cliff scene. Poor Eddie.

I disliked The Lost World when it came out, but it's so much better than what came later I do enjoy it now.

I just heard that the Beatles and their estates are finally getting around to releasing the original Let It Be film. I would like to say that this is great news… except that they made me wait soooo long (well over 50 years of waiting!!) that I no longer care, and will never buy it. I will watch it on Disney+ but have no interest in curating a copy.

I like the first of the Pratt movies. How you introduced something incredible like freaking dinosaurs and after a while the public grew bored so they had to engineer more flashy dinosaurs. And it's metaphor goes further because its the same with blockbusters. Studios are having to come up with more flashy ideas to get people back into theatres. It's telling that massive sea dinosaur chumps the tiny shark (Jaws).

So dis the Pratt JP movies but the first movie had something to say.

Yeah - the first Pratt film is fine, albeit far below the original. Its all right though.

I didn't think saying Lost World was better than the Pratt movies was a "dis". It simply means what I said. I still liked Jurassic World well enough.

IMO, each entry gets weaker. The World trilogy is borderline unwatchable. Fallen Kingdom was stupid and infuriating with lots of promise while Dominion was just an absolutely idiotic snoozefest.

I hope the next JP just gets back to what matters: dinosaurs.

I like World fine. It's safe with some meta aspects. It's fine.

I've only seen Fallen Kingdom and Dominion once, and that was enough on both counts.

My seriously unpopular opinion regarding the Jurassic cinematic universe is that Jurassic Park is minor Spielberg. It's good, but it's not great.

World I think just about gets away with it due to recycling the idea of the original with a bit of a twist but the sequels are just classic examples of modern Hollywood blockbusters with scripts which are a total mess.
