I'll be honest. While it was an epic scene, it was really weird seeing him not wearing gloves!

I'm actually glad I decided to watch a leaked video of the post credits before seeing it. Would have found it to be a waste of time sitting through the credits for that.
[Show spoiler]Howard the Duck looked stupid and I didn't even find it funny. I hope to God that is the last appearance he ever makes.

I thought the movie was great though. Certainly not perfect, as I felt it had a hard time feeling comfortable in it's own skin, especially near the beginning of the movie. Which makes me more excited for a sequel, as I know it won't have that problem. 4/5

Oh thank goodness it was that. I swear it sounded like "Big Bird" and not "it burns".

Stunning visually, perfectly comedic, and beautifully touching. While it sticks to Marvel formula, its individual attributes make it Marvel's most diverse film yet.

4.5/5

Anyone else see Lloyd Kaufman in the prison?

I was the only one laughing in my theater when they showed him.

Everyone is just amazing in their roles. Of course the standout of the film is Rocket as expected. Though I was surprised by Drax actually being a compelling character even though he's played by a Wrestler. His scenes with Rocket especially are great... especially when...
[Show spoiler]he's comforting Rocket after Groot's death.
. And who would have thought a CGI character would touch your feels so much.
I got more choked up at Rockets
[Show spoiler]tears - 'but you'll die!' than I did at Quill's mom's death at the start

Bring on Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the eventual team-up with Avengers against Thanos in Avengers 3.
Amen!!

I'm assuming it was Nathan Fillion. At least that's what people seem to think anyway.

I know he was the voice of that one blue alien inmate as well. But this seems likely also.
It was indeed him

Saw it at this morning's matinee (in 2D) since this is my off Friday... I'd put it as my favorite movie of the year. Been looking forward to it ever since the first trailer was shown... not a huge fan of Superhero movies, but scifi/comedy...sign me up! GotG to me is kind of like Serenity meets Chronicles of Riddick... and I really like both of those movies. But it has its own heart and charm...and the scenes are pretty much perfectly done. Not sure if it's my most Favorite Marvel movie, but it's competing with Iron Man and Captain America for a 3 way tie for the top spot. Gave it a 4/5 in the poll, may be closer to a 4.5/5 in reality though.

Would like to go back and see it in 3D

Can I watch this movie for the rest of my life, please?

agreed - I'd put it on par with Avengers - those two movies are the only ones I remember thinking 'I wanan watch this again' during the final battles, so even before the thing ends am gagging for a replay like a kid

My second favorite Marvel U film right behind The Avengers. Saw it in Imax theater today and it had everything I'm looking for in a fun summer film from beginning to end. Can't wait to see it again and I left the theater less than and hour ago.
