Anyone else think Robert Davi is a butch Fonz?

Anyway, I’m hoping we get 2 and WAV soon. I bought them on iTunes and they look great in 4K HDR, much better than the same versions on Prime

DHINO 1 and 2 can go to back to the hell they came from.

This is my next UHD addition(along with Starship Troopers) and it's en route.

This is probably the A+ title i've been holding out the longest to upgrade. I do wish it had the OG cover like my DVD but this seems all too common now.

Anyway, looking forward to the gargantuan PQ upgrade.

Watched it last night. I wasn't disappointed, lol. Very organic looking transfer all around. Since i hadn't even seen the standard blu, the master audio mix was also an obvious revelation, and the DTS track on the DVD was quite good for it's time.

Only $9.99 right now. No brainer. Yippee ki yay!

A nice transfer. Still weird guns of navarone gets atmos and this does not. Was it laziness or is the answer not quite so simple?

Different studios. Fox wasn’t upgrading their audio on (most) catalog titles, and Sony does.

One of the upsides about Fox is the OG audio tracks in lots of cases, it's a shame were not getting more 4Ks from them. Such a rich catalog being squandered.

Still got a couple more we can at least hope for from Disney, as long as it had an HDR master and their catalog sales keep doing well. Keeping my fingers crossed for Patton, myself but I believe one of the next in the pipeline was supposed to be Home Alone 2, but god knows when that will be as it doesnt appear we're getting it for this Christmas season.

Die Hard 2/3 and Commando are on the top of my 4K Fox wishlist. Hopefully they release what they have finished.

Could definitely see the Die Hard sequels coming as theyre so popular and the HDR masters have been on itunes for ages, but Im not holding out much hope for Commando, sadly. Would be real nice to be proven wrong though, The Fly and Big Trouble in Little China desperately need 4ks too

Die Hard is not a filmic transfer. It’s incredibly dark and lifeless looking. With very bad HDR. The complete opposite of what Die Hard looks like on film. Film was bright, colorful, and super saturated.

If your TV has it, trying using the Dynamic Tone Mapping fucntion. That will bring a little life to the picture. Die Hard has never looked better on 4K UHD!!

It's best to pay Backwards Jim no mind.

His ongoing, tired spiel (re: every 4K release looking under-saturated) has no basis in reality nor any sound evidence to support it outside of his personal, 3-decade old recollections of film prints.

Yes. Countless. Been praising for months and some for years: The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Beetlejuice, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Suspiria, Predator, The Running Man, Dune, Halloween (Shout!/Scream! version), Halloween III: Season of the Witch, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Thing, Escape from New York, They Live, Prince of Darkness, Star Trek movies, Starship Troopers, Cliffhanger (Sony), Christine, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Wizard of Oz, Hook, Taxi Driver, Labyrinth, and too many more to list.

I recommend ignoring the noise from the usual trolls who are out to make it seem like I hate on every new UHD. That’s far from the truth. But if it’s a movie I enjoy and the colours do not match the original film prints, or at least get them in the ballpark, I will certainly be vocal about it.
