Just won another AA HD10 from e-bay. I'm really looking forward to how things will sound with 2 of them.

If you go over the last 170 pages of this thread, you will find some members who have purchased PSW subwoofers. Many prefer HD models because they are front-firing, come in three colors, and have bigger amplifiers. PSW and RW models are down-firing.

I purchased an 8" PSW subwoofer for my daughter a couple of years ago. I tested it for a day and was very pleased with its performance at such a small size and low price. I summarized my findings in post #2.

Just my opinion on the RWSUB-15 that I bought off Ebay. I bought this to replace my Sony SAWM40 12" Subwoofer. I use this with my TV and Music.

I have been disappointed with the RWSUB-15. I think my Sony SAWM40-12 sounds a lot better. The RWSUB-15 sounds like it is bottoming out and rattling. The Sony just has a more mellow deep bass.
I thought moving up to a 15" subwoofer would make the sound even better but this is not the case.

My HD Sub 12 is waiting at my house for me when I get of duty. Can't wait to hook it up. I will let you all know.

Congrats! Don't expect it to rattle the fillings out of your mouth, but it shakes all the wife's plates hanging on the other wall on low volume.
Give it some break-in time to loosen up and it will sound better.

Now I am trying to get the placement correct. Also trying to figure out if I am gonna run two subs or just this one. My other is really a POS, but we will see. After getting this one now I finally understand some of Big Daddy's posts. There is a big difference in sound in different locations and heights that I put sub at. My room is very awkward with 20 to 25 foot ceilings. I guess I will have to buy another.

As far as the sub I do like it so far. Let me play with it some more and then I will really know more about it.

My room is a bit smaller with a vaulted ceiling , so i opted to put mine forward in the center and seemed to work great there for me. Move it around a bit and if you have Audessy or an auto EQ setup run that again, if not, i found my setting with a little sub channel adjusting.

big daddy answered, but yes i did have to trim the cabinet some. the stock amp died very quickly &my option was to ship it back at my expense for a replacement with a possibly 2nd bad amp. i chose to cut my losses & get the dayton. performance wise it's great. i never go beyond 10 o'clock on the amp & -1.5 on my receiver. it took a couple of weeks to break in & mellow out. i used some test tones & it does cleanly get down to 20hz. pics of my amp mod are in my gallery & somewhere in this thread. sorry for the delayed response.

post with my install is on page 162 of this thread.

So far I am really liking the sub. I kept the other one and placed this one in the back corner of my room on an 18 in. riser. I believe this is going to work for me. I was a little busy this weekend but so far all is good. I am happy with my purchase and can't wait to watch some good flicks.

Use the shielded cable and Y adapter. They are less likely to pick up noise.

Post #2 of https://forum.blu-ray.com/subwoofers...nt-part-i.html has pictures and links to many shielded sub cables and Y adapters.

I haven't Had a chance to set it up yet. Maybe I'll get to it this week. I did plug it in and with no adjustments it already made a diff. I'll report when done.

Thanks to Big Daddy, I’ve been watching some auctions for these on ebay the last week or so.

I missed out on a 12” sub last night that went for only $80!!

I think I’m gonna watch for 2 10” subs……hope they go for less than $75 each….and pick them up for my HT.
