The Human Torch meal should be that chocolate lava cake with the icecream on top and Doom shouldn't have a meal but they should have special collectors metal forks with Doom's face on them to eat your Fantastic Future Bathroom visit with.

My guess is option 3 will be the most likely.

Some variation of #5 is an absolute lock. As I said earlier, I have absolutely no doubt that many of the people who have sworn up and down for months that they'll never ever see this in a million years will be analyzing it in great detail within hours of it opening.

I think we'll also see some variation of the back-pedaling in #4 too. I would expect something along the line of 'well, I never said it wouldn't be good, I said it wouldn't be a Fantastic Four movie and it's not'.

(edit: that's assuming it's actually good, of course. time will tell)

Option 6: Despite some fundamental changes from the comics, the movie was good and I was wrong.

That will be my personal response if I think it's good. Not "favorably reviewed." It can still get good reviews, doesn't mean someone liked the movie.

If it gets a positive score on RT, I'll go see it. Big Fantastic Four fan, so I want to like this movie, even though I don't like a lot of what I've seen so far. It can still be a good movie, maybe even a great one, even if it's not a good Fantastic Four movie.

So far nothing I've seen excites me about this movie, and I assure everyone it's not because I have my mind made up about it. When the trailer first dropped, I even said it doesn't look bad... it looks competently made, even though it does look like a generic sci-fi movie, or like a Young Adult novel adaptation. Nothing has excited or grabbed me.

But if the reviews come out and people are saying it's good, I'll check it out. It might not be the Fantastic Four movie I wanted, but if I see it and it's at least good, I can like the movie despite any hangups I've had with it.

Although you're definitely right in that a majority of the "haters" might not be able to admit they like it (if they see the movie and do end up liking it). But to be fair, and maybe it's just me, I haven't seen many people make an oath that they'll never see it. I've seen some of that, just not a lot.

A lot of people who are Fantastic Four fans will probably see it (even if they don't pay to see it -- use a gift card, pay for a different movie, use movie money or a pass, have someone else pay, etc.) even if they're against it, even if their reason is only that they've been complaining about it so long that they need to see if they were wrong or if they'll be vindicated and end up justified with their criticisms. I do think some people, if proven wrong, will say as much. And then there are people who will do what they said and never see the movie. Or wait for cable or Redbox, and so on.

The months ahead will be very interesting, in any event.
