I believe all 3 will still be popular in 10 years.

I think disc will absolutely still be here in ten years. I think EST will be the first to go, I see parallels with the MP3 format and Spotify. No one is paying for individual tracks or albums now. Same will be true with all the subscription streaming. The only real value of ownership is firmly on the side of disc.

I think if you are serious about this passion of ours (who isn’t) then disc will always make sense.

Apparently the MPAA continues to believe in disc. Zappiti USA has removed their NAS from the USA site and word is they will not even import from their France home location.

A Zappiti NAS had 8 disk bays and a built in UHD BD drive. Operation was automated, insert disc and unit ejected disc when finished ripping.

Disc will be around 10 years from now. It will be regulated to collectors only. Maybe $500 million a year at best. EST will also be around. Many different devices can play EST: phones, tablets, TVs, etc.

I love watching movies on my 6.5" phone screen and you wouldn't believe the amazing sound that I get with my free pair of earbuds. It doesn't get any better than this.

I guess you gotta do what you gotta do and a home theater isn't something we all can have but I assume most people will grab a TV or at least a monitor for home use.

When I'm in a care home I'll probably use a tablet and headphones unless I can get a portable projector.

AR glasses. 180 inch screen projected right into your preferred area.

Just got my tickets for The Batman at one of those "Fan First" events March 1st. Wasn't able to use my A-List, but it's worth it in IMAX and frees up the rest of my week.

Finally got an Xbox Series X last night. 4K Blu Rays look and sound amazing on it. I had been using 4K streaming before this. What a revelation. This will have me purchasing discs of my favorite movies for many years. Streaming just doesn't cut it!
