Watched The King's Man via HULU last night and thought it was great. I will definitely be picking up the 4K disc at some point when it's on sale.

I watched it on Hulu as well. The first 45 minutes or so I wasn't that into it but it finished strong. Will definitely add it to my collection.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first Kingsman but I thought the sequel was trash. I will give this one a try but not in any rush.

Have it in my Netflix disc by mail queue. Also have Last Night in Soho and House of Gucci in the queue, will be curious to see what they are like. Looks like Netflix is not going to get Apache Junction and Last Shoot Out on disc so may have to view via streaming .

Watched Revenge of the Shogun Women last night and it was a 3D riot with spears and other objects coming towards you . The source must have been in really bad shape and I'm sure they did the best they could with the restoration. There are two versions, polarized and anaglyph, we watched the polarized version.

I own Dune (2021) on 4K disc now, so I don't see myself ever streaming it again.

On my wishlist; stop costing me money! I need to get a decent soundbar for the 3D TV in my office. I'm considering the Sony HT-A7000 and its add-ons. Listening with the 3D TV's anemic built-in speakers has to stop!

You, too, eh? I don't need help spending money! I'm not willing to pay $30 blindly on this one; I will wait for a better price unless I see it beforehand and I decide that I has to haz it.

Last Night in Soho was the first movie I hosted on my new PJ and I've seen it at least 3 times since then.

I love it.

It’s awesome when the audio kicks in as the lead
[Show spoiler]enters Soho. It was quite low key until that point.

Because I'm impatient and want to watch things as soon as possible , I'm finding myself increasingly watching streaming presentations before the physical disc becomes available. This definitely has cut down on my physical purchases as most titles won't warrant a re-watch and the stream is more than adequate.

Of the titles that I do end up purchasing, I'm always glad to notice an increase in the quality of the presentation even if subtle.

By a very wide margin, DUNE 2021 represents the largest increase in quality, both audio and video, between it's streaming and physical release. The disc is truly reference quality.

Adequate isn’t in my dictionary. Go disc or go low.

How? Because I have Netflix?

I think you are confusing me with someone else.

I grabbed Hurt Locker Steelbook, Kingsman, Green Mile, and Tinker Tailor today. I also preordered season 4 of Gomorrah which should be showing up this week. I can’t remember ever buying 5 new releases on the same day.

Oh, you were being sarcastic? I’m a disc devotee because I like the best quality. It’s kind of pointless to have HT and pursue all that if you are going to waste it on inferior quality. That’s my point. HT to me means getting as close to the cinema experience as possible. That’s just not possible with digital when we are talking projectors and A/V quality.
