i know the person who is selling it and i can tell u they wont sell it for below nearly the asking price so please make an offer

Then why bother? I am not paying $350 for it and the taxes they are talking about are crazy. I could ship the copy as a gift to you if I could get it and you would only pay about $18 shipping or so.
However I am not paying more than $175 postage paid for it and he will not sell it at $350 ever, I believe. Even at $175 I will be paying too much money, but if you know the guy and he wants the $175 in his paypal account today, I am right here.
Then I could ship to you for $18 and help you complete your list. Cause me, missing still 11 copies chances are I will never make it.
I will most probably abandon this pursuit on plain selective, because I am also involved in most steelbook companies. Kimchi, blufans, nova media and some HDZeta + Very few Film Arena and now Manta Lab?
That means my plate is full, despite the fact I am making good money at work.

You never know how much someone will pay for something if they want it bad enough and this price reflects that. Wu Xia is rare and it's a sellers market on titles like it because they only come around a few times per year. And though I understand your perspective and unwillingness to pay that amount, the seller has the leverage. If he's asking that much, then he's clearly going to be patient with selling it. You don't necessarily have to abandon pursuing plain selectives either, you just have to be patient and also willing to fork over the cash if you want them. But you can't expect a seller to come down on a price either when you're dealing with stuff as rare as it is. At this stage, and even a couple years ago, completing the entire Plain collection is really expensive. It's unfortunate.

I've not been in the blu-ray collecting game for long, but isn't the rarity/price part of the prestige of owning all of the Plain titles? I kind of assumed that was part of the reason why people took on such a huge task. Simply because titles like these only go up for sale one, two, three times a year... This guy is asking $350, sure, but he could be the only person in the entire world trying to sell this particular item right now. So it really isn't that crazy. You could always wait however many months, maybe even a year before it goes up for sale again somewhere. But then it could potentially be even more expensive.

Me, I'm happy just looking at everyone else's Plain collections. Don't have the funds/space/desire to go after it all myself!
