To reiterate: Pixar master in 4000 nits on Dolby Pulsars at the SOURCE level (using the theatrical DV grade as a starting point, if applicable) but DV on disc is "too risky right now" while DV for digital distribution platforms is fine. What "risk" they're referring to is unclear, but the reference to being able to change out the "digital distro" stream with ease would certainly indicate that they're not happy with the encoding process to put DV on disc because it's a one-time deal once it's been pressed - i.e. if it's sub-optimal then it's gonna stay that way - whereas if they're not happy with the DV OTT streams they can just swap them out.

I wonder why that is, considering the Dolby Cinema presentation of 'Finding Dory' looked fantastic. Hope they reconsider and put that out on UHD as such as well as 'inside Out' which I remember as Pixar's first Dolby Cinema release.

The name of the short is Jack-Jack Attack. The "Exploded" part probably refers to the optional visual commentary that was also on the original DVD and subsequent Blu-ray release.

Any idea why the regular edition now says June 12 release on Best Buy's site? Steelbook still say June 5.

Looks like it might not be on sale until then.

Even though the official date is still June 5th on Disney’s site.

Tyrok recently posted pictures of the standard and Steelbook releases he received at his Best Buy, and a few posts up said he got 10 standard, 9 SB.

So they're already in stores, the question is whether BB will allow them to be sold on June 5.

Very likely, it will. All of Disney's UHD titles have after the first two or three. It appears to be a permanent change.
