I’m amused by the countless people I’ve seen complaining about the influence of 50s/60s sitcoms when every single promo so heavily made us aware that would happen. But people were still caught off guard and wrote it off with an ‘I can’t believe they did this’ attitude.

I really enjoyed this - the production values are high, it has a Marvel-esque feel (it was so nice to see the opening Marvel logo sequence), and I liked the old-school tv shows - I think they really captured the feeling of those shows.

I am pretty particular about things I like, and I can't think of anything that doesn't work for me with this show (as of now.)

I think Elizabeth Olsen is knocking it out of the park (all the actors are, really) and I hope she is considered for some awards next year.

I have seen all the movies, so I know the backstory. And that is why I found the idea of having Vision in the series weird to begin with. So far it looks like a stupid excuse to show the two of them together again in some seemingly random sitcom stories. I just don't understand why so much time is devoted to the sitcom portion of the series so far. Wanting about 3 minutes of non-sitcom related screen time doesn't seem like much of an ask. I don't need instant gratification and know everything right away, but I would like an idea of why the show exist. I will see the rest of the series, but I don't think its must see TV if this is the structure for every show.

I couldn't help but think of the Seinfeld episode "The Pitch", after watching the first two episodes of WandaVision. I kept on picturing George Costanza saying "I think I can sum up the show for you in one word. Nothing."

Who knows. Maybe...maybe not?

Many believe that
[Show spoiler]Mephisto plays a huge part in both stories.

Elizabeth Olsen the explains that Wanda has “never lost” her Sokovian accent among criticism for it disappearing in Infinity War/Endgame and now WandaVision. Stating that Wanda is essentially “an American disguising” her accent.

The pattern:

"They just play it safe with the MCU. They just follow the formula and never take any chances."

- Marvel releases something different and/or takes a chance with casting.

"Oh this is terrible! They've finally went of the rails! What are they doing?"

- New thing becomes a hit.

"Well of course it's a hit, they're just playing it safe and following the formula. I wish they'd take some chances and do something different."

Exciting! It’s six episodes and will run until April 23rd. Lining up perfectly for Black Widow’s May 7th release

Too many people are too wrapped up in "where is it going" and looking to "solve the mystery" that they are missing the forest for the trees. Maybe it's because I used to watch a lot of Nick at Nite (Mr Ed and Bewitched used to be 2 of my favorite shows) as a kid that I appreciate the send up more while at the same time can be intrigued by the bigger story.
