"Episode VII

Reports from various media outlets have indicated that Jar Jar Binks will return for the Star Wars sequel trilogy in 2015.[3][4] While Ahmed Best has been vocal in regards to his support of additional sequels, actor Robert Pattinson has also expressed interest in claiming the role of Jar Jar."

Please, for the love of God, tell me this isn't going to happen.

Well yeah, it does kind of come across as an April Fools joke. But the fact that it's still up a day later worries me.

Disney has officially closed Lucasarts and canceled Star Wars 1313 and First Assault for good. All employees are laid off.

The video games are the only decent Star Wars product to come since 1983.

I just wanna know how we've gone an entire generation and not seen a new Battlefront - the best SW games ever made, and it never got a PS3 version.

A huge shame - Lucasarts' games have been one of the cornerstones of the Star Wars universe for years and have had some brilliant releases. And 1313 looked fantastic.

I also agree that it's a crime that we never got a PS3 Battlefront.

I can't believe this. The acquisition started out with so much promise (a new trilogy with Lucas reduced to creative consultant, the ultimate butt kisser leaving the company, the increased likelihood of getting the UOT), and then this shit happens. What the hell?

From what I've heard Disney didn't feel Lucasarts games were marketable for them. They want something they can sell to kids and disneyfy. Just heresay right now. What I do know 100% is disney has a bad track record in video games. So whatever star wars games they release won't be fit to play.

Absolute shame. As the article said, Disney isn't exactly known for making "great" vidoeo games, so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. It's also too bad for the employees and their families.
