Yeah the Time Stone doesnt need explaining.....

Is it just me, or did Scarlett Johansson really phone it in for this one? She was far more lifeless than Jennifer Lawrence in the X-Men movies.
I just don't think she had much to do. Anyone associated with Cap kinda got shafted screentime-wise.

I felt Ruffalo's performance was a little weak too. I guess that's part of his arc that will continue in Avengers 4, but he seemed overly timid in this movie compared to the other Avengers movies or even Ragnarok.

what did you expect out of her? The character got zero characterization and no story arc here. It felt like they were checking a box with her inclusion

Meh. Her character is pretty limited.

I think they did the best they could. She has no superpowers. She was able to take on Proxima 1v1 twice and hold her own despite being severely underpowered.

Other than that, her character at this point cant really do much.

I'd like to know how many minutes total she's in the movie for, it felt like under 5 minutes.

There were like a ton of characters in this movie. I think the Russos did a pretty good job spreading out the screen time for everyone while not watering down the story.

I'm not talking about action or screen time. She said all her lines in a low monotone, like a student reading a play aloud in class.

She had nothing to work with. Probably had 5 lines total.

But yeah, some of her lines seemed lifeless. Probably realized how wasted her character is in this.

Been pretty consistent with her character from previous movies TBH.

Widow is a pretty stoic character with rare flashes of emotion. Johansson is only doing what the character is supposed to be doing. After 8 years of her in the cinemas, you’d think people would know this by now.

Too bad she can't do a russian accent. Even Elizabeth Olson did one for her character until Infinity War.

I don't know what type of accent you want to call that, that EO and ATJ were doing.

Makes me laugh even more thinking about when Quicksilver went into the police station in Sokovia and was yelling at the police officers telling them to leave in English instead of his and their native dialect.

He was offered a cameo in Fallout but turned it down.

Speaking with Empire, Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie explained that he did have a plan for Renner’s character, but, due to the uncertainty of Renner’s potential filming schedule with Avengers: Infinity War, it would have involved killing him off.

Given that the production wasn’t sure how long Renner could be on set, if at all, the plan was to have Brandt sacrifice himself early on during the initial plutonium deal that sets the rest of the plot in motion. Renner, ultimately, declined the offer.

“Jeremy had his commitment to Avengers, which ironically they ended up not exercising, and we didn’t know what the [sixth Mission] movie was, so we couldn’t provide a schedule,” said McQuarrie. “We needed absolute freedom. The unfortunate thing for Jeremy is that he got caught in this perfect storm of, one can’t use you and one doesn’t know how to, given the massive complications they had with Avengers.”

After 8 years in cinema and seeing her in Lucy, I think it’s obvious she won’t be winning any academy awards anytime soon. And actors are often picked for their natural ability to emulate the character. Maybe she’s good at playing the role, because she’s stoic in real life? She seems like a reserved person, and the best way to keep people from judging you, is to not let them get too close in the first place.
