Same here, although I'll be watching this one (for the fourth time this month ) and the most recent Halloween II Blu-ray by Shout Factory. If there's any time left that evening, I might just throw in the German Blu-ray of Halloween 4 into the mix as well. I don't like the rest of the sequels though and that includes Halloween 2018.

My memories of the theatrical colors line up with the UHD. The first half was dull and gray.

I did that a couple of weeks ago, when time permitted. Enjoyed every minute of it!

Tomorrow might I'll be watching Halloween(1978) 4K, Halloween II(1981) Shout Factory Steelbook & Halloween H20(1998) DVD. These are my 3 favorites of the series.

The Halloween II Steelbook Blu Ray looks fantastic. It has great color saturation. I wish Halloween's (4K) colors looked closer to this.

I've hung on to my H20 DVD since it seems there isn't really a good copy of it on Blu Ray.

Do the 35th Anniversary Blu Ray and the 4K UHD transfers look the same?

Pretty sure they are the same transfer, but the 4K UHD is a bit more desaturated during daylight shots but looks better on the nightime scenes.

Could well be the same scan underneath but the framing is different, the dirt clean up is different, not to mention the grading of course.

Excellent packaging and I LOVE the new cover. As much as the original pumpkin cover is iconic, I have to admit I'm sick of seeing it recycled with every release. The French version adds something completely fresh.

The Scream Factory boxset release is the best.

I compared some of the daytime scenes with Dolby Vision turned on and then off using just HDR. Dolby Vision darkens the scenes and desaturates the colors more. I actually like it better with Dolby Vision turned off.

The back of the French version states original mono on the bottom, is it just the 7.1 fold down, does anyone know?
