Maybe his wife was away, and Clint couldn't get a babysitter on such short notice.
Or maybe it was laundry day? Maybe his wife was having severe cramps and didn't feel like dealing with the kids...in this case Hawkeye may have been dealing with an enemy that would have been even greater than Thanos. Do you remember the size of their yard? Maybe he promised his wife to cut the lawn and do some gardening and couldn't get out of the commitment. Maybe he was sick that day, and has a doctors note to prove it. Maybe he has Directv, and the connection was lost, along with telephone and internet service. Or maybe, Nick Fury just forgot to call the MFer because there were already 500 other Avengers fighting. |

They clearly say in the movie that Clint and Scott took plea deals for house arrest because it was easier on their families. Plus Clint's on a farm in the middle of nowhere, unless they send a Quinjet to pick him up, he's not getting to Wakanda or New York to fight anyone. The entire movie takes place over a couple of days.

I have a stupid question. With all of the MCU characters, we obviously see their super hero personas and sometimes we get to see their everyday characters or can imagine it. I can imagine how all of the characters either work or make money in general, except for Steve Rogers. What the heck does he do or how does he earn a living? Since Civil War, he's on the run from the government and hasn't talked to Tony Stark until Thanos arrived. I had imagined those were his sources of income up until the events of Civil War.

[Show spoiler] , but I assume [Show spoiler] had something to do with it. And Rogers never talks to Tony in Infinity War, they never even share a scene together. |

They were Shield Agents, either Black Budget, or the interest of Cap's bank account.

[Show spoiler] later on. But frankly, Renner made the right call turning down the cameo/got lucky that he wasn't offered a bigger role. As far as the MI movie canon, Brandt is still alive and can return whenever he (and the filmmakers) want. Gotta play the long game.

Not really. Clint worked out a deal with Fury to keep his family secluded and off-the-grid on that farm. Plus even in Civil War, he doesn't show up til relatively late. Looks like they're saving the Phase 1 Avengers for the next movie anyway.

Like I said, I was only being sarcastic with my reasoning for Hawkeye not being in Infinity War. I remember hearing the plea deal line in the theater and rolling my eyes because of how dumb I thought it was. |

I didn't poke a hole in anything, you're just looking for a reason to think Hawkeye not being in the movie is dumb even though it's perfectly reasonable. Something dumb would be why Tony apparently walks around with the flip-phone Steve gave him at the end of Civil War, so he conveniently has it on him when he's with Strange/Wong/Banner and conveniently drops it on the road and it conveniently doesn't break and Banner is conveniently able to go back to the spot and find it. Or why Strange doesn't die in the vacuum of space when Stark blows a hole through the ship that kills Ebony Maw. But those are minor in the grand scheme of things lol

One continuity error, unless I missed an important detail.
I believe it was in Thor: Ragnarok that Bruce Banner made a comment about not being able to remember anything when in Hulk form. So how could Banner even remember that Thanos is coming and who he is when it was Hulk who encountered Thanos and not Bruce Banner? |

EDIT: I've forgotten the last half-ish of Ragnarok. After Banner turns into Hulk to fight the wolf and everyone saves the day, is he still Hulk during the end credits when Thanos' ship finds them, or has he returned to being Banner? I ask because why didn't the Hulk put up a fight right away? Why was he hiding there waiting for Loki's line to finally burst out? Anyway, any inconsistencies between Ragnarok and IW, I choose to blame on the former because I like IW too much to shift any blame onto it lol.
