The guy should use his middle initial to his name to differentiate himself.

Actually, there's even another Steve McQueen. Steve McQueen's (from "Bullitt") grandson is also an actor. But I think he goes by his middle name, so as not to confuse people,

What Criterion blu-ray's have been actually replaced with the the newer plastic cases?, The Third Man is the only one I can think of at the moment, any others yet with new cases?

No, none, yet. Again, Jon Mulvaney from Criterion has stated that they would be announced MID-NOVEMBER, AT THE EARLIEST.

So, that basically means that we may, or may not, see the rest of them in November. As far as Criterion saying mid-November, it could be December or January before they're all available.

Seriously, huh? People do not seem to understand that it will be discussed when it is available without them having to ask about it. Probably won't be able to shut people up about it!

Same for all the "Any news on ____ on BD?" No, when there is news it will be posted and people will be discussing it! Christ!!!

On a completely separate matter, any news about Seven Samurai on BD?!?!?!?

Haha I don't mean any offense to you personally. It's just hilarious when the same questions come up page after page, thread after thread.

No offense taken, I actually did not know, I'm pretty new to the Criterion blu-ray club, having only 9 of the titles on blu-ray so far. Might pick up Chungking Express or The Seventh Seal tomorrow, which one is the better film?

I really enjoy Chungking Express, I think I've watched it about seven times since I bought it. Seventh Seal is great but I've only watched it once.

Hey BillyJack, it's great to see you and also many other people being exposed to Criterion titles. "The Seventh Seal" is a classic, "Chungking Express" is just flat out fun and entertaining. Buy both!

Would anyone suggest I return my MP for the Complete set? I passed on the J&O disc because I didn't feel it was strong enough to support it's own, but I wouldn't mind it with the set.

Also, something I noticed on the Jimi & Otis is it lists the original release dates as 1986 instead of 68 as the Monterey Pop disc says. Is this an error or were those shows put out much later?
I personally love having both discs. Disc 1 is the original 1967 documentary "Monterey Pop" along with a ton of outtake performances. Disc 2 (Jimi / Otis) is the complete performance of Hendrix in the former and the complete performance of Redding in the latter. The 1986 year is correct, as Pennebaker went back and released this footage uncut at that time. Otis is pretty straight-forwardly his performance and runs 19 min. Jimi is the full performance, plus a voice over intro by John Phillips done in 1986, as well as Jimi's live performance of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (the song, not the album) in London shortly before the Monterey Pop Festival. It runs 49 min.

Hunger and Revanche are great films that I cannot wait to add to my Blu-ray library.

Just a quick question I'm hoping someone here can answer, what does Revanche translate to in English?

As far as re-playability for me, I'd choose "Chungking Express" because I'm a big fan of Tony Leung's acting.

Well, since Google is our friend , the word revanche pretty much translates to "revenge," or it seems it can also mean "punishment."

From the blog of the graphic designer who created the film's poster for Criterion:
