Well, I think you answered your own question as it were. I'll happily pay for any and all Ōbayashi that I physically can, but until that's the case and distributors make it so that's possible, I'm just going to have to stick to ones I've found scraggling around MEGA and The Internet Archive. What's the point in letting these great films go to waste and fade away into obscurity behind ridiculous licensing prices instead of enjoying them any way we can? Plus, the more people see them that way, the more fans are created, the more demand can be made for legitimate releases, and I'll be front of the line for any such release.

Exactly, and to be honest, I don't think that piracy in general is necessarily bad for the industry. I certainly wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the initial access provided by piracy. There's a lot more to be said about that topic, but this is probably not the right thread for that discussion.

So is the new Toyoda Box Set completely sold out or just sold out for the moment? I cancelled my amazon pre-order to re-order it with my "shocktober" order (hoping to use my 20% off code) but it's sold out

I wanted to support Terracotta but the €15.95 shipping to Ireland felt a little hard to swallow. Even at the lower pre-order price the shipping cost just stung a little so I went with Amazon as I had a voucher to use and the free shipping saves me €15.95.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I have no knowledge of the films in the Toyoda boxset and was just wondering why 4 films are loaded onto the 2nd disc and just one each on the 1st and 3rd discs? Are these 4 films shorts, or is there some other reason?

Wolf's Calling, Day of Destruction and Go Seppuku Yourselves are all short with the three coming in under 2 hours runtime.

They’re not out of stock but who knows what’s up with the arrow store unfortunately. Believe me, I’m in as much in the dark as you! Hopefully they’ll fix it and put them back up for sale soon

Was £10 cheaper until today as had a special pre-order price.
Will ask them about shipping as may be a EU thing or different shipping variation costs (registered, signed for, etc)

Awesome! Glad I didn’t miss it, no hurry, busy couple of weeks so wouldn’t be watching it for a couple of weeks anyway.

Only missed Himizu so far but still have a bunch of the newer titles to pick up, hoping to have a complete thirdwindow blu-ray collection some day

Some great Thirdwindow titles in the Arrow Shocktober sale for £10, click on the "brands" banner and you can select Thirdwindow to see what's there!

Is there any difference between the US (Mondo Macabro) & UK releaases of Hiruko the Goblin?

Kind of checking before the US release goes on sale on Thursday.

Taste of Tea at £10 looks tempting. I have an order for Shawscope, Yokai Monsters and Sailor Suit & Machine Gun - I used a 20% code for this order (I assume all of these will be posted in December). If I cancelled this order ad re-ordered with Taste of Tea added, could I use the 20% code again, or would it be gone? (Even if the 20% doesn't apply to sale items, I assume it would at least not increase my postage...maybe.) (I know this isn't the best forum for the ins and outs of how Arrow's website works.)

Sadly this time around, the Arrow shop sale is region-locked, so if you're not using a UK IP, you don't get the sale prices. Using a proxy shows you the sale prices, but I don't know if you can ship a sale order to an address outside of the UK.

Unfortunately the discount would be gone, so better off ordering separately

Aha, I asked what you meant on another thread. There seems to be a bug on the site, unsurprisingly. Go to checkout and it will apply the sale price - just tried it on UAE and Portugal address.

Really annoying, as I have no idea of the sale price of an item until I get to the checkout.

My copy of Toshiaki Toyoda: 2005-2021 arrived today and it looks great. Tons of great content included across all three Blu-ray discs. I also ordered through Terracotta and it was nice to see them handwrite some words on the packaging (basically saying enjoy ).

I took some photos for those interested. Since I have a job and the evenings are getting darker, lighting ain't great but I think it does the job enough.

Terracotta have added the region free US release of Labyrinth of Cinema
https://shop.terracottadistribution....disc-steelbook
It's £44.99 but that's still considerably cheaper than ordering through Crescendo House direct (currently £56 with the possibility of customs charges on top). I was lucky enough to see it free as part of an online festival and I loved it so I'm going for it, feels like a nice thing to do to support both a new label and Terracotta.

And of course it's still the cheapest place to buy the anti-war trilogy
