If I get it from Best Buy, as a RZ Premier Silver member, I've got 60 days to get the price adjusted should it dip lower than $18.99. What do you guys think are the chances of that happening in the next couple months?
It's already less at Wal-Mart ($17.96). See This Post & This Post.

Is the The Dark Knight Rises from Best Buy the only edition with an extra bonus? I want the Target Exclusive of The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray so would the The Dark Knight Reborn - 35 Minute Documentary be the only bonus that I would not have?

Now I might (not really sure if I will or not right now) also order the The Dark Knight Trilogy with the 35 Minute Documentary from Best Buy anyways so I might have that Documentary.

A lot of people don't care about the technical quality of a film. I myself am no videophile or audiophile. It drives my dad and brother crazy that I can still watch VHS tapes when I have Blu-Rays not far away.

Amazon shipped my copy (preordered months ago) at $24.98. Had to e-mail customer service this morning to ask for a refund. They said they would make an exception for me, since they do not have a post-ship price guarantee. The movie isn't even released for another two days. :P I'm guessing they will get a lot of similar e-mails. But for $25, I could have gotten the steelbook.

Ah yes, I just saw that a few minutes ago. I have to imagine Amazon will PM this price, which would definitely be nice.

Does anyone think it can go any lower than $17.96 in the next couple months? That's already pretty far below list price, but with the holidays coming up, who knows what the pricing strategy will be.

Anybody know why the non Imax scenes of the Dark Knight and DK Rises weren't filmed in a 16:9 screen filling aspect ratio? That way there would be no aspect ratio change on the Blu-ray's, and it would look more "professional". I don't hate the change of aspect ratio, but it looks a bit crappy. Like some youtube fan video edited from different sources with different aspect ratios.

The use of 2:35 doesn't add anything to the movie imo. A constant aspect ratio would look more stylish and the Imax scenes would probably still stand out from the rest of the movie.

I know no one knows the answer yet to this but judging from past trends, do you think the Dark Knight trilogy ultimate edition will have separate boxes for each movie in the boxset or will it more likely to be a boxset with just the discs? I know it may not be a big deal to most people but I don't like it when they just put all discs of each movie in a boxset without its own separate boxes.

It has always been my experience that the price match is up through release day, regardless of when it ships. All of my preorders that ship at the higher price are indeed charged that way, but then refunded within a couple of days. Unless there is a policy change (which is not on their website), whoever said that they don't have a "post-ship price guarantee," needs some more employee training...

Quote:
Amazon.com's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and shipped. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or video game, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date.
Quote:
If your order enters the shipping process before the release date and the price is lowered before the end of the day of the release date, we will automatically refund your credit card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price.

I think it's the gimmick factor.

Yes, it's only from Best Buy. The "reviews" from those who have seen it is that it isn't much (not much new content). Some speculate that it'll be on next year's so-called "Ultimate Edition", but, who can say ...?

Beautiful! I'm really digging the back cover and the inside art! I'm wondering if the US version at Target will be more or less the same.

I'm starting to wonder the same thing. Maybe the Lenticular cover is just a removable card. Like the Harry Potter UE.

The US one wont have the same artwork underneath from what I can tell, but the content inside should be exactly the same

I think the lenticular cover is the actual cover, as in, not removable per se, but I could be wrong.
