After only 3 crucible matches, I was able to get the 25 k/d spread after going 17 kills, 8 deaths, and 6 assists. Time to turn in this EWB for part 3, which is to complete a Weekly Challenge.

It started when I got the newest patch today.

Just completed the level 22 Weekly Strike by myself. Took a good hour and 20 minutes, but definitely worth it. All I gotta do is return the "Clot of Darkness" to Ikora Rey and she'll give me the (uncharged) Invective Shotgun. Now I just need to purchase 45 special ammo synthesis and this bad boy is mine.

It's NO joke. But I'm sick that one of my fireteam guys got the Hawkmoon exotic pistol, the other got 12 Ascendant Shards, and I just got 9 Shards.

I think it was based on Nightfall performance, though. I was the only 27, so I was pretty much reduced to sniper + combat medic. With no short range void weapon, Psions made short work of me during the final boss battle.



Now my head glows. And I have like, 40 strange coins and 40 motes of light and 30 shards. So Xur better come with the goods this weekend.

You know of the covered shelter in the final boss room where no one can hurt you, right? I learned of this from Mavrick. It's EXTREMELY helpful, and quite necessary in my opinion, if you want to beat this week's Weekly Strike/Nightfall. It's in the back left corner on the lower level.

Yeah, it's where the guy who won the Hawkmoon remained so nobody would die. It took us two tries - the first time, we didn't go into the spot behind the stair you talk about, and Psion Operants ran merrily through us on one side with Valus Taaurc on the other. Trapt.

For the exotic bounty if you don't want to spend glimmer in ammo packs then you can buy 5 at a time from xur for 1 strange coin. So ten coins gets you 50.

If you're really desperate to do it you can make life easier by hiding behind the crates in the last boss area so no one can kill you. As you go in far left hand corner of the hanger is a bunch of crates you can jump behind.

Yeah Casey showed us that method, but I ended up going on top and started shooting. Might have to revisit that tonight. I just don't want all of us to die and then it boots you to Orbit.

That's what happened to us first two times, then we found out about the trick in the corner and we were good, just takes a bit longer to finish because you don't always have a good shot at the boss. But as long as you're all behind there there's no way for them to wipe you really so you should be good

I was nigh useless in it, because I can't kill Psions at close range in the final area. My homing arc rocket launcher makes short work of Valus, but without people keeping me standing, it's moot.

When we beat Nightfall, we had one person behind the crates, the other two of us running around. He'd keep me clear of Psions for rocket shots, I'd revive him and take out war turtles while he used arc fusion rifle on the boss.

yea we were sooo close. had the boss over halfway dead, but then we kept dying, so we didn't stay in the corner. i guess if all three people were back there it might work, but when he goes to the other side of the room you have no shots.

We should. Even if you go with JJ, I would appreciate company for a try. I can use my new primary rifle with void damage I got as a reward for finishing the raid last night...should be good for those psions. I had to be at work early this morning so did not get a chance to use it, yet, and we finished up really late last night, as the fireteam leader is an actual firefighter and was out on a call. Three of us, for whatever reason, just ran around venus collecting blooms. I have a ton of them now.

We should have beaten that last night. I got careless. I was shooting legionaries on your side of the room while not paying attention to the psions spawning on my side. I wanted to go to the raid showing off my flaming head, and I could really use more ascendant material. I don't need any coins. I still have 46, even after buying 40 heavy synths from Xur. I keep getting coins from the cryptarch.

Wow, last night was fun but tough. I completed my first strike with some random guys, doing the easy one on Earth and that wasn't too bad so later when I saw Nightfury82 and Kastershot doing the higher level weekly strike, decided I'd try to help. Ha, I wasn't much help but eventually we completed it.

Later, I did the Vault of Glass raid on Venus with jsteinhauer and some guys in our clan and that was BRUTAL! We had completed part of it the night before but even so it took a while to finish it up last night. Heh, even with them trying to explain everything and telling me what to do, I felt clueless through most of it. I don't even know how people figure something out like that for the first time. Anyway, thankfully we eventually completed it so I got to do my first raid and see what that was all about.
