Found an article saying that KB tweeted about it (although hasn't seen it yet)

Quote:
Even though it doesn’t appear as if Kevin Bacon has seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, it’s likely reached him that he’s mentioned in the movie.

On Thursday, Kevin Bacon himself tweeted out, “Big congrats to @JamesGunn I hear #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy is amazing. Can't wait!”

James Gunn retweeted Bacon’s tweet, and now that the two have connected on social media, we have to wonder if this could lead to a Kevin Bacon cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Wouldn't it be hilarious to have the Guardians arrive on earth and meet the great hero, Kevin Bacon?

So why make harsh assumptions if you had no idea about the source material?

I most certainly did. I thought it sounded ridiculous on the surface of it and even said so. I put my quotes about the movie on this thread, BTW.

Even after seeing the trailer I was still harsh about it.

I got more excited the closer to release date. Happy to be wrong and will say so.

Not like it's the first time anyone's been wrong about a movie, you know.

As soon as I heard Chris Pratt, I was sold.

. If so, I thought that was right before the credits started rolling or am I mistaken?

I honestly didn't think it would work for me at all. Turns out that I loved Groot and Rocket is one of my all time favorite heroes after watching this.

We're going back for another viewing next weekend.

After seeing this film I am so desperate to buy/put together a Star-Lord costume. Shame I can only find kids ones this now. Maybe once its been out a while we'll get some adult costumes on the go!

Would love to see an extended version some day, hopefully Gunn can convince Disney.

Also here is a quick bts video released by Marvel dealing with props and costumes.

Here's what I want to know. At what point do we tell Marvel to stop making movies about every character they own? Ok, this was better than I thought it'd be, but Ant-Man? Just because Marvel releases something as a comic doesn't mean it needs to be a movie.

Also, why was Stan Lee in this? He didn't create these characters, did he. But they listed him as an executive producer. Why? I used to be such a fan but in the last few years he seems like a fame *****, looking to be in every Marvel movie, appear at zillions of conventions, it's just a bit much. I still appreciate his work, but please, dial it back a bit. Over exposure is as bad as under exposure.

Probably when they stop making money on them. They are making a ton money on these characters, so why stop now.

I'm glad you're able to find something to complain about. The movie was awesome and you're really pulling straws for something.

Just got back from seeing it, I loved it and had a great time. How would I rank it? Well TWS, Avengers, DOFP, IM then GOTG. It will be a day one purchase for me I'm also not giving it a rank, I don't see it in the 5 star rank like TWS and DOFP but I think 4 star rank is to low for it. I wish there was a 4.5.

Again I had a great time watching it.

Zoe Saldana
Dave Batista
Vin Diesel
Bradley Cooper
Glenn Close
Benecio Del Toro

A random movie could've been sold with that cast alone.

I was never an Ant-Man fan myself. I think the character is lame, but I'm open to watching the movie, which will probably have me change my tune. His costume design is already a step in the right direction.

He only appears in movies of characters he created. However, I think he made an exception due to fan demand. After all, its weird watching a Marvel Studio without an appearance by The Creator.

Nice! Yeah at my first showing I got Drax. Second viewing Starlord. My friends didn't want their pins (crazy I know, like WTF lol) so they gave me their sealed pins and upon opening those I got Groot, Gamora, Rocket. I just need that damn elusive Emblem pin. Only 1 of every 100 to score that goodie. Grrr lol. If you hear of anyone with doubles of that looking to trade, send them along to me. I'll be seeing this at least 3 more times and so I'll have doubles of my own by then. Remember.... 'We are Groot.'

Stan Lee co-created Groot, Ronan, the Kree and the Collector---so yeah you're wrong.

Did you find his cameo bothersome? The audience I saw it with--loved it.

Glad you found something to complain about though.

I know it's shocking, but Marvel Studios makes comic book movies. So basing their films off their source material is what they do. People jumped to conclusions that this would suck, but it didn't. No reason to assume something like Ant-Man won't work.

As for Stan Lee, he created Groot. He doesn't put himself in the films, the directors do. They choose to have him. They like to honor Him with the cameos. Nothing wrong with that.
