I'm thinking about getting this for March And April, since there are movies I want to see every weekend for both months. If I subscribe now, will I have to pay for February as well? Or does it start when I activate the card?

You will be charged immediately, but your month (or year depending on which plan you get) won't begin until you activate the card on the app during your first check-in.

Granted, it may be different with the new plan they just introduced, but that's how it was for me when I signed up.

One more question: if you cancel before your year is up, do they refund you the remaining months? It charges you for a full year up front.

If you want to avoid the full up-front year, according to the MoviePassClub sub-Reddit you can still get the $9.95 monthly plan (w/o Fandor) if you sign up through the mobile app.

Otherwise, as far as I know, they do not refund remaining months on a full-year plan, though you might be able to sweet-talk a customer support agent into giving you one. YMMV.

Just so you know, by the way: if you cancel on either plan, you're not allowed to re-subscribe until 9 months after your subscription ends.

Wanted to add: Apparently they did change the membership start date, it now starts either when you first check-in or 2 weeks after the membership sign-up date.

I hope they at some point add some kind of MP premium. I cant go back to regular format after experiencing Dolby Vision. A Dolby/Imax/3D preium tier would be amazing and I would gladly pay extra for that.

I just pay for movies I have to see in premium... I mean I still get my money's worth on the pass itself, and then pay a little extra for premiums.

Tried signing up through the app at $9.95 per month. Won't take my credit card (it won't let you press submit), and for whatever reason it won't accept my PayPal password? (for what it's worth, I have an android)

Tried using the website on a PC, their plan is $19.95 + $7.95 a month for the entire year (so $115 up front).

Is there any way to sign up for the $9.95 plan via a PC?

Actually the opposite! Right now me, my mom, my fiance, my sister all have our own damn cards. So we each have to go up to the box office and each ask for individual tickets and hope we can sit next to each other on the seating charts rather then just saying 4 tickets and then getting seats blocked automatically. Multiple people on single accounts would make things faster. You will always have people that don't understand the use. So this would stop more people from doing that and bring down the amount of people with cards. Your complaint makes no sense when it comes to this option.
