From Dark Force's FB feed concerning an upcoming and anticipated Code Red title!:
"It's the R-Rated lost movie FORCED ENTRY with newly added scenes of brutality very worthy of carrying the Dark Force moniker. This version will also be available on the limited edition HD Blu-ray currently heading to replication and soon to be available at the Dark Force Superstore. If you liked THE SWINGING BARMAIDS you will love from the same year FORCE ENTRY! darkforcesuperstore.com" ![]() |

DD has a thick skin and is actually a decent guy and blah blah blah, tis true. But who else ships so quickly and takes the care to make sure it is as protected as possible, for a mailer? Someone mentioned before that he shells out the extra dollars to ship it faster. That time differential translates into less damage to packages. Given a few transactions with DF, I hope and actually believe that you'll be impressed with a lot more than his self-confidence shield. He really does an excellent job and, beyond that, actually seems to care about doing an excellent job.... And he gets along with Bill. There's so much more to be impressed with there. I should say, in fairness, the person who used to do my Ronin moved away, permanently, doesn't have to come back, permanently, so he's lucky.... So, I have to order from them myself now. I've done two or three and they are almost as fast as DF, but behind by a day or two. They're great but DF ships like lightning, in a world of tracking shipments and worrying when you hit day 8 or 9 and someone 10 minutes away got his on day 5. "The #8 deluxe single edition HD Blu-ray release from Dark Force Entertainment is very appropriately titled THE LAST VICTIM starring the gorgeous Tanya Roberts and Ron Max. This is the 88 min. PG rated 1975 theatrical version complete with incredible tension, realism and a relentless score. For the first time created from the original negative with additional found lost footage but WAIT...there's a very special EXTRA...

It was rated PG in 1975 but it was re-released theatrically in 1984 with an R rating. I don't why myself but if the movie was changed content wise then a new rating would be required.

According to Variety's review of the 1984 re-release, the later version is a "new, re-edited version reportedly prepared in 1980."

Of course not, but Ruined’s responses to complaints in this thread are to wrap the vague with the nondescript. I believe I can be equally fair minded in giving him the benefit of the doubt while also asking for clarity, no?

Whatever the case, it's mind-blowing that a remake of Shaun Costello's Forced Entry would get a PG rating in any universe. |

There are two films. I have no idea what they are releasing. I have both on VHS, the R version has some nasty stuff... the PG version more or less sucks. Way to promote!!! |

As punishment for his behavior, Banana Man should be forced to peel off his banana costume or give up THE FARMER to "other label".

Many film originally rated G, PG or GP in the sixties and seventies would today receive a PG-13 or R rating if they were re-rated today. Lawman (1971) is one of the many examples of a film originally receiving a GP (PG) rating and later on an R, after it was re-rated. The Last Victim received a PG rating in 1975 when it was released by Howard Mahler Films, but when re-released in 1984 as Forced Entry by Century International, it was re-submitted to the MPAA again under the new title and this time it to the new distributor's delight, it received a R rating. I'm almost 100% sure that both versions are the same film with the same running time, one received a PG rating by a more laid back MPAA and the other an R, by a more conservative one.

The MPAA was still pretty laid back in 1984, though. Maybe not as much as the 70s, but it's worth remembering that movies like Sheena came out that year at PG, and of course, the two Spielberg films that ushered in the PG-13 rating in July.
My guess is that cuts were made in the 70s for a PG rating and that possibly scenes were re-inserted for a video release, which was probably where the R rating came in. It's also possible that both versions were available separately (under their different titles and ratings), but regardless, I doubt that the PG and R versions are the same film, because having the same film re-rated by the MPAA is pretty uncommon unless a new wide theatrical release is involved. Therefore, the film rated R in 1984 is almost certainly different to the one rated PG in 1975. I did find this blog article which sheds some light on there being two distinct versions, but unfortunately, it doesn't mention if the recut Forced Entry is any more explicit than The Last Victim: hhttp://hillplace.blogspot.com/2012/...st-victim.html EDIT: Another blog article with plenty of vintage ad scans for the film. It seems that the film was initially released as The Last Victim and advertised as PG, but was subsequently referred to as Mr. Death and Rape in the Suburbs and advertised with an apparently fake R rating in 1977 and 1978...several years before it was re-edited (and legitimately re-rated) as Forced Entry: http://templeofschlock.blogspot.com/...s-of-last.html Last edited by McCrutchy; 01-28-2019 at 07:12 AM. |

You are spouting utter nonsense. Everything you state is your post is incorrect, assumption and bullshit. I have both versions of the film, as already stated, and they are not the same. You comment about the MPPA being laid back is idiotic. LAWMAN is on home video in it's euro cut, which has material not present in the MPAA PG version. Many films fall into this catagory, some we re rated for home video, some slipped through. |
