recipient of stated offer must accept only film titles mentioned in previous deal and the possibility of this offer being withdrawn if the wind is blowing to the East, West, North or South of England within a 24 hour timespan. Also, any half or full moon renders deal void.

On a brighter (literally) note we spent a few hours at the Audio Advice Live event in Raleigh NC today. Main focus for us was the JVC and Sony projectors. JVC was showing the DLA-NZ9, $26,000 and Sony was showing the VPL-XW7000, $28,000. Absent was the NZ7, NZ8, XW5000 and XW6000. The JVC and Sony almost made me think I was viewing a 140" OLED. Both were very bright and detailed. Will view the XW6000 later this year.
Did miss the madVR presentation but got to talk to their rep for several minutes. We did watch a presentation using a Sony VPL-VW5000ES, $60,000, 170" Stewart screen, madVR, Trinnov AVP. Impressive ![]() |

Almost forgot, the source in all the rooms we attended was the Kaleidescape and/or Oppo UHD BD players. No streamers allowed.

![]() ![]() Even more amusing is that Sony also shunned its own Bravia Core streaming service. Sony knows what they are doing when it comes to real A/V quality and that means nothing doing with streaming. ![]() Last edited by Vilya; 08-21-2022 at 10:51 PM. |
