Someone should slap the reviewer for giving this classic a 3 out of 5 rating.

+1... The fact that far worse movies on this website have got 4 and 5 stars! Just goes to show you that you can't take the actual review of the movie itself seriously. The picture, sound, and supplemental reviews seem to be spot on most of the time but not the 'reviewers' opinion of the film..

I loved it as a kid but haven't seen it in 20 years... Wish someone would air it because after the mistake I made with Labyrinth I'm not as comfortable buying childhood classics I haven't seen since I was young.

ABC Family shows it ALL THE TIME. They showed it like 10 times last weekend.

thanks for the heads up, I'll check the DVR to see if it's coming up. I know they air Harry Potter religiously but didn't know anything else

No problem....I think they just scored the broadcast rights to it which is why they've been airing it a lot. Previously, TBS used to show it a lot.

picked this up last week for $32.99 plus taxes.
Future Shop had it for $46.99 and best buy had it for $39.99 so she matched the price then took at additional $7.00 which I think was a miscalculation but still a good deal for a great movie!

Nothing really, it just doesn't hold up to me as a 30 year old compared to my memories of it as a child. I found it harder to sympathize with Jennifer Connelly and found the characters for the most part unlikable.

Since it isn't a step up from the release 9 years ago, I think I'll either wait for the price to go down or the 30th anniversary edition!

Actually, and no offense to "The Goonies," but "Ol' Jack always says...what the hell"

Finally got to watch the whole movie this past weekend and it looks amazing to me at least for The Goonies. Sure it wont be 10 star PQ but its the best I think it can look right now. Definitely glad I got the UCE. still need to look through all the junk when I get time.

To be honest it comes with junk that is useless. I would just order it from the UK for about $18 shipped. Take the $ you saved and buy another BD
