Corman flicks are in the "so bad they're awsome" category, i must admit they can be pretty damn entertaining.

I agree, but only his New World Pictures and pre-New World career. Of the films he produced and directed, a lot of them are very entertaining, and some are even excellent films—particularly his Poe series.

The films he's producing now for Syfy aren't even B movies—they're Z. With a title like Sharktopus, they're just pandering to the lowest common denominator. Even something like She Gods of Shark Reef was at least trying to be something more than something so ridiculous I have to see it.

But hey, maybe it's actually good.

What does it matter if it's good or not, Rabbit won't even watch it to find out. He just likes collecting.

Yeah i have yet to see the Syfy stuff but when Corman tacks his name to it you have a rough idea what you're getting. I think back in the day w/ budget and time they just happened on the cheesiness honestly, maybe the new fabricated cheese will be lacking? crap, now i gotta go buy it and find out.

all and all they tend to be an acquired taste, that your mood , sense of humour, and a few wobbly pops can help along.

I see the 2 disc collector's edition of Casino Royale is only $15.99 right now on Amazon.ca, that's a fabulous price and if I didn't already own the other version I would be jumping on this one for sure. That set has been at $38.99 on Amazon.ca for a long time so to be down to $15.99 is a MAJOR price drop.

For those that are interested, Amazon has Deadwood on sale for $95.49. It is half the price of FS and even cheaper than amazon.com.

I know it's a DVD set, but $104.99 for the complete All Creatures Great and Small is an amazing price (75% off). I have never seen it below $200 before and it's usually around $300.

One of the best British dramas ever made and almost 100 hours of entertainment. That's $1 per hour.

OOooooo... Thanks for the reminder, Steve. Tempting! If I didn't have so many other things that I need to take care of -- you know: heat, food, etc... the little things! -- I'd be all over this!

Many an hour our family would sit in front of the TV (when we only had 2 channels!) and watch this every week... God bless CBC!

I expected it to drop to $200, but this was unexpected.

I used to watch this with my grandparents. She used to read the books and he was from Yorkshire.

Still on PBS though...

In Bruges seems cheap at $12.49, but I haven't looked elsewhere.
