Yes but with all due respect until a few weeks ago we weren't all trying to protect ourselves and others from a potentially lethal global pandemic. As such your actions could be regarded as overtly cautious (and fair enough you're not doing anyone any harm )

However with many people's habit of pathologizing other's behaviour such overt cautiousness could be viewed by others as a symptom of OCD, hence your family wanting you to consult your GP.

They ship everything 2nd class which at £1.50 wasn't terrible as a standard 2nd Large Letter is £1.32 plus the cost of the jiffy bag.
Even if they start shipping everything 1st class £1.95 postage per item is still too much.
Sadly still posting stuff out 2nd class too...

Yeah makes a lot of cheap titles not worth buying online. Wouldn't be as bad if they'd started shipping 1st Class but for 2nd £1.95 is to much.

I need seasons 6 and 7 of the Big Bang Theory on blu which are 50p and £1 but with the post charge increase I'll wait until they show up in store.

CEX can be quite good for retro games as well, but you need to double check that the manual is included too and that the cover art is not a reproduction.

You have to be really careful. They're technically not allowed to be selling repro anything. They have got better in recent years but it's still too easy to find a PSP copy of Sonic Riders for example with repro inlay cover art. When it's come to retro games I've sort of tutored my local store a bit in what mint retro games should look like. You'd be surprised how many times I've ordered a mint Mega Drive game and got something that was in 'boxed' condition.

Question about the Arrow 1 Disc release of Robocop.
I'm sure that someone posted before about how they'd ordered either the standard version or remastered version of Robocop and they actually got sent the Arrow release as CEX don't have a listing for it.
I've tried searching but can't find the post.

i think you may be getting mixed up with someone getting Wierd Science for the cheaper universal price rather than the arrow price which it should've been, i've had the wrong disc edition happen a bunch of times but it's usually with games that have a re-released complete edition but usually when it happens with movies the buggers give me the budget/rental version disc

Fair enough. I was sure I read a post saying it had happened with Robocop. The 2 Disc Arrow release has it's own listing on CEX. The 1 Disc release doesn't. If you put in the barcode it doesn't find anything.

That was me. Picked up Weird Science with booklet less than a month after its release into stores. I also managed to find the arrow release of Sixteen Candles with booklet for less than a fiver as well. A lot of times with these Arrow releases, they just stick it under the original code and don't bother putting a new edition into the system.

Had the same luck with The Thing & Ronin. Picked up the Arrow editions for the same prices as the old Universal & MGM versions a few weeks after release.

It must be just one or two staff members per store to package and dispatch any orders that have made online, as they wouldn't have any stock stored centrally. Perhaps the staff would also have been deal with products being sold to CEX through the website ...

Also there are some items that are in stock online, but not available to purchase, so I guess those are the stores that aren’t open.

How much do you guys reckon a voucher would be roughly for a ZAVVI exclusive steelbook of The Incredible Hulk? It's not yet on their system to get a good idea.

That one? A voucher is £20. Not sure about the 4K one. Probably £22 to £25 for vouchers.

That's the 4K release. I think about £22-£25 is about right, with a couple og quid either way.
