Yeah, I'm in the same boat.

I can pretty much finish my Hammer 'wants' then. Of course, if more appear at a decent price I might upgrade, but I'll have all the ones I'm really fussed about.

But there are still big holes in my other classic Brit Horror colection - the Amicus pormanteau films. I'd really like to see The House That Dripped Blood, Asylum, Vault of Horror and From Beyond the Grave.

I would love to see all those titles released on BD.

Any chance Network's transfer for the upcoming HANDS OF THE RIPPER will be better than the US Synapse version?

Is there any word on when the fixed version of Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell will be available for sale? I'm tempted to pick up a copy knowing that it's likely to be defective and just do the disc exchange which seems to have been a relatively straightforward experience based on the comments here.

Not sure about the PQ but I heard the Synapse one is cut, so as long as this one is fully uncut it'll be better to own.

Didn't know the Synapse version was CUT. Thanks for info!

EDIT: According to Dvdcompare, it says the Synapse blu is UNCUT. I'll have to look more into it.

It is uncut.
From Synapse website

Quote:
Completely restored in high-definition and released uncut for the first time on Blu-ray in the U.S., HANDS OF THE RIPPER is a film widely recognized as one of the most gruesome Hammer horror films ever made.

I have the Synapse version and its the fully Uncut British Version
Note its Region A Locked
Picture quality is very good Aspect ratio: 1.66:1 this is the correct aspect (The UK Network DVD had had wrong aspect ratio)
Extras are very good

Synapse release has extras that will not be on the UK coming release

UK Release I have this on order also but its unknown as of yet if this will be any better

When will Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell be reissued for sale?
Did they put a date on that?

Can I just check, as I'm finally getting around to returning the disc for a replacement, that only the Blu-ray is affected?

Thanks to MFH.
Countess Dracula that is for me! I've got Twins of Evil (and Vampire Lovers) US releases and I just love these films, and the PQ is nice too.
