I Love Lucy is one of the greatest shows ever. I'd personally put it in the Top 5, and many have called it the greatest show ever.

It was only the third TV show ever to have episodes released on home video, behind Star Trek and a one-off tape of "Goodbye, Farewell And Amen" from M*A*S*H, and the second to have the complete series released on home video, behind Star Trek.

Millions of copies of the show have sold on VHS, Beta, laserdisc, DVD, and now the incomplete Blu-rays.

In reruns and on streaming, I Love Lucy still has tens of millions of viewers tuning in each week. The show is so profitable that Lucy likely earns more money dead than she did alive.

And all we have are seven OOP DVD sets, a complete DVD set in bizarre packaging, and an incomplete Blu-ray set that no one cares to finish.

This show deserves better than this. Full stop.

Hopefully they decide to release the complete series on bluray before too long.

I bought the first two seasons on blu ray toda. Never seen much of this show, but looking forward to seeing what the hype is about!

I never tire of watching the show, especially seasons 3 and 4, but really envy you and others who are experiencing watching it for the first time. Enjoy!

Now if we can only get a complete release for the rest of us

Seems like a case of the mainstream home entertainment division squatting on it as "too big" to release on MOD but not a high enough priority for a wide release to get it off the back burner.

Plenty of big name TV shows get released on MOD, such as Cheers, Frasier and Andy Griffith show specifically from Paramount.

MOD is typically viewed better when it comes to TV shows I think, the studios don't have to have a ton of unsold stock they have to discount to rock bottom prices to clear warehouses.
