The only problem this show has is releasing episodes on a weekly basis similar to 'The Mandalorian'.
I think you'd have to be pretty ignorant to assume this series won't pick up. I've touched on it in my last post, we've seen the vignettes of SWORD in reality/real-time, in color, etc. We all know it's leading up to something massive in both scope and scale. So what exactly is the problem with releasing these episodes weekly you mean? Because people have become so predisposed to streaming services dropping every episode at once, so you can just binge a series in its entirety before making an opinion. A series like 'WandaVision' is not going to get that benefit, unfortunately, in this day and age of instant hot-takes. Do I think Marvel is doing something 'different' here? Yes. At least in the context of what they're familiar with. I don't think they're exactly reinventing the wheel here, but it is refreshing none the less. Should people be more patient? Yes, obviously. I sound like a broken record at this point, but again, just because people seem to have such a hard time understanding something so obvious; We're still going to get some big budget, glossy VFX-laden action sequences before it's all said and done here. As for me, I dig it. Again, I think it's still typically Marvel -- but I've made my peace with that. Overall, as someone that used to watch 'I Dream of Jeannie' reruns on WGN about ten years ago -- I dig the hell out of the homage they went for to those types of series in the first couple of episodes. Surprisingly, the replay value for these two episodes is actually pretty remarkable. Anyway, looking forward to Friday getting here. I have a feeling by next week, though, in episode 4, is when we will see things start to pick up. Just relax, settle in, enjoy the ride, and then start giving harsher takes once this series can at least get about 5 volumes in. |

![]() The thing I like about it all coming out at once is that I tend to pick up on hints and clues and callbacks better without having to remember every tiny little thing that happened 8 weeks prior. That's why I tend to wait for everything to be released before starting a show. |

In my book, we've come to the point in the MCU after nearly 13 years where we're now getting new live-action, premium content on a WEEKLY basis. I'm giddy and along for the ride.

Apparently the episodes of WandaVision have been updated on Disney+ with titles:
Episode #01: "Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience" Episode #02: "Don't Touch That Dial" As I'm not home atm, can any of you please check this and verify? edit: These are strange and unusual but also interesting titles - I'm wondering if these are essential to the shows plot somehow. Actually streaming services like Disney+, CBS:AA and Peacock are following the tried and true broadcast networks schedule of releasing episodes weekly. TMK only Netflix drops all episodes at once (I never watch Amazon) so to me, that's more of an outlier rather than common practice. I don't watch series on HBO Max but I think their originals dropped weekly as well.

FWIW, I don't think they did that for shows that released seasons last year on HBO, the regular ol' premium cable channel, like RUN and Westworld. |

I like an opinion I read online today that this is just Wanda unable to accept Vision's death. She made up this little world in her head, and controls every aspect of it, because she cant accept his death. That's why she stops what she didn't like, does a rewind, and has the story move on following a different scenario. It's actually a sad story. In the end, this show will be about her eventually coming to terms that Vision is dead, however long that takes.
