This mix up at Shout Factory with the Nightbreed copies must be bigger than I thought. A Youtuber that I have been subscribed to for a few years now made a video about it.

To be fair, I placed the order on 10/15 and it was mere hours before they removed the option to purchase.

So, I had an inkling that this might happen.

Of course, I'll be a lot happier when that $79.95 refund finally goes through, because I'm sure not seeing it yet.

I had previously canceled an order with Deep Discount after they told me that there was no guarantee that they could fulfill it. Here's hoping that Amazon can come through.

At this point, I'll just be happy to see the director's cut on the more streamlined release, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Just because Shout sold out (or accidentally shipped out) their allotment of copies has no bearing on the entire 10,000 units. There must me thousands still available from distributors and other retailers.

Is there actually confirmation from Shout that multiple orders have been sent out wrongly or is this just speculation/paranoia?

By the way, if I got sent the wrong version and the seller sends me a box and shipping funds I'd happily send it back. This sort of thing happens. What I wouldn't do if I decided to keep it though, is come and gloat on the internet and be stupid enough to wave my receipt in the air (just saying).

Got the box from shout yesterday, shipped out the LE they sent me on accident today, so hopefully that helps someone that actually ordered it.

The official release date is 28th, so it shouldn't ship much earlier than that - maybe a few days earlier so it arrives on release day.

I also agree that no one should have difficulty getting this from Amazon or somewhere else, because Shout only kept back a few copies to sell themselves.

Looking to see if anyone who ordered the standard blu ray edition of this film from Family Video receive any shipping notice yet? I have not received anything yet, hopefully it ships by close of business on Friday, but I guess we shall see what happens....

Well, not all, and collectors would buy up the Shout inventory more quickly than Amazon or other retailers.

I think that anyone who has ordered this from Amazon.ca maybe in for disapointment. The standard edition is now available for release date delivery but the limited edition set is not, my order still also says they will notify me when they have have an expected delivery date. Based on my previous experiences with them this most likely means that they do not have any stock of this item and as soon as the release date is here it will change to out of stock on the website.

Moviestop is no longer taking pre-orders for the limited edition. I was in today and the manager there told me about it, he said they won't be able to order anymore from the distubutor. I've had mine on pre-order since the summer so I'm good

I wonder just how many of the LE Shout sent to customers who didn't order it. Did they send out copies that were reserved to retailers?
