Got this today. I'll be quite honest, I have no idea How or Where to use it.

I think I'm getting to old for these games tbh. 😌😌

You use them to upgrade Legendary and Exotic weapons/armor to increase their attack/defense power.

Ascendant Shards are what you need to upgrade Legendary and Exotic gear. They're important if you want to make your character the strongest he/she can be.

Not weapons, just armor. Ascendant energy is for weapons.
