I'm curious what they will do for Set 2 (Black Moon Clan arc, episodes 15-26). If we're going to get 5 seasons of Crystal to match the manga, and I think we will, it would be really cool if they used the first five Japanese LE covers featuring the five Inner Guardians for the whole series. Sailor Mercury would be next, and the set would include art cards of the Japanese 8-13 LE sets. Sailor Mars would be for Crystal Season III, Sailor Jupiter for (an unannounced) Crystal Season IV Dream Arc and finally Venus for Season V Stars. But I have a feeling they won't do that.

It's much closer than the original 90's anime. However things were changed, pretty significantly at the end of the Dark Kingdom arc.

Just finished watching Sailor Moon Crystal season 1 blu ray. And they don't give time for a pause or a break. Before the season was over they right away started season 2 at the end of the last episode of season 1. Everything moves at a faster pace.

Follows closer, but not exactly the same. Crystal changed a few things around.

Unfortunately, it follows most of it to a T. They never bothered to fix Naoko's poor writing or lackluster development for anyone that wasn't named Usagi.

The only development for the inners is a very sloppily executed shipping with the four generals of heaven.

It could easily have been removed again and nobody would have noticed, that's how de-integrated into the rest of the series it is. The rest of crystal follows the manga far closer for better or worse.

This is the first time I have not pre ordered from RIGHTstuf. Can anyone tell me if in the past stores have carried the limited edition sets? I dont care about packaging but, want to see all the extras.

Best Buy had the limited edition for Sailor Moon Season 1 in stores, but not R since it shows a 8 digit SKU on the website. But Crystal's limited edition has a 7 digit SKU, so it could(though YMMV) since not all 7 digit SKU items show up in stores but it is not impossible like the 8 digit ones.

Its more that it being one of the only things they added to the new version means it feels very out of place and has no bearing on the remaining part of Dark Kingdom. It feels very much like somebody hastily crammed in their SenshiXShitennou fanfic right near the end of the series and somebody else noticed and killed it before it got out of hand. Considering the writers stance on Crystal was that the Senshi would have no character without their meddling in adding a cut concept from the manga (which considering how badly it was handled in this version, small wonder why it was cut.) kinda sours me in general with the first 26 episodes of Crystal.

Thankfully i've heard nothing but positive things regarding Season 3, hopefully Season 4 will do just okay so the trainwreck that is the Manga Stars arc never sees the light of day animated unless they wanna have a season almost entirely voiced by Usagi.

I stopped watching Season 3 at episode 7 and that is my favorite arc.

same here. checked best buy and zeusonline there both out of stock to. only walmart.ca is showing stock for the low low price of $99.99 on the limited edition lol.

I got my wife's in for our anniversary today from amazon. The inner box was crushed. Of course it happened at the factory no damage to the box it was packed in or the 4 other items. Sigh. Not available on amazon so I couldn't even order a replacement. At least they took some off for the damage.

Right Stuf does an amazing job with packaging for shipping. Unfortunately, whoever opened the case my set was shipped from used a box cutter and damaged the chipboard box. I would say this is rare, but it's the second Sailor Moon set this has happened to for me.

I just read that Toei Animation's CAPTAIN FUTURE (1978) will be upconverted too.
Japan and Germany are releasing Season 1 and 2 on Blu-ray at the end of the year.
Will it look even worse than the 90s SAILOR MOON, what do you think?
