I've been a quiet supporter of DF/CR from the beginning, but what their planning to do with SOAWN is really pushing my limitations. The Carrier had 2 cuts and was fairly priced around $24-$26 if I recall.

What I hope is clarified is after the first 200 copies are sold - and it's very likely that will happen in one day - is the next 200 increment going up right away are do we have to wait another week for this silly "store close for restocking" nonsense?

And at least tell us when the store is going to reopen ("very soon" does not suffice, either) so those of us with weekend plans can plan accordingly?

Seems about right. Would make too much sense to just put both on the disc like everybody else does.

Aside from the extended cut, just an interview with Gil Glasgow.

Every single thing about these recent developments is truly disappointing.

All of this garbage about closing the store throughout the week, to incrementally raising the prices... so stupid.

As far as shipping, do what you got to do, I really don't care about the $5 rate as long as prices go down.

I'll buy the movies that interest me if they're reasonably priced, but I'm not going to sit around refreshing a stupid website, either.

Give me a break with this crap, Dave.

Hey mods, will you finally perma-ban RUINED now? He's clearly collaborating as a shill with DF to implement an insane sales strategy.

Screams of a Winter Night isn't even that good a film. It's an anthology that spends far too much time and effort on the drawn out wrap-around segment than the individual tales - of which are a collection of oft-told uninspiring urban legends.

I really enjoy a good horror anthology, however Screams did nothing for me.

Just my two cents for those who are still on the fence and/or concerned about the ludicrous pricing proposal.

I never though we would agree on something, just as you can't put a lot of restoration money into titles when you're going to artificially restrict their supply. You just aren't going to sell a lot of copies when the title isn't available 99.9% of the time.

Necromancy isn't a good title to use in this case as, from what I recall, it was only available for about, what, a week before Bill pulled it. At that time though, I do believe Bill stated he had sold 700 some copies already.

But it doesn't surprise me that only a handful of copies sell out each time it is put up after being artificially restricted for most of its life. The eBay hoarders are lapping up those copies as quickly as possible due to the artificial restrictions place on it by the publisher. Without the artificial restrictions the flea bay is hoarders wouldn't be charging what they are.

Seems that DF is putting the 'bucket' in bucket-list if they actually raise the price incrementally. No one is going to pay more than it's first price, especially with no review of the disc. I've seen stupid throughout the years, but even Bill cannot be this dumb to let them do this. He will be defining the moniker he wears...

Precisely this. I had the same thought. Raise the price and the inventory will sit and rot. Why not just charge a fair price and move some units? This will sell only 200 copies, sad to say.

We are taking a cue from the vastly knowledgeable and well respected forum member RUINED over at Blu-ray.com and will be releasing the first 200 copies at an EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! The price will increase incrementally with each batch the run. So the earlier you buy it the cheaper you get it and NO EXCUSES when you have to PAY MORE LATER.

I think they jumped the gun as their shipping page has an error.
