A thriving used market is absolutely necessary to ensure that a title remains available after it goes out of print. If people only sold used copies after a title went out of print then most people who would have sold them would instead throw them out. That would cause there to be drastically less used copies in circulation when a title went out of print. |

Ideally the number of discs of any movie should match or exceed the number of households who have an interest in watching the movie repeatedly. That ensures that everyone who wants to watch that specific movie will always be able to. Making copies, piracy, and streaming all prevent this. The used disc market does not. |

I didn’t buy ANY used until I took a chance on ‘The Wizard Of Oz 3D’.
It arrived sealed, therefore discs, case and cover were in perfect condition. It wasn’t available new except on EBay with joke prices. Paid £15, absolute bargain. Still buy 95% new, but not against used when a bargain offers itself. By the way, The Wizard Of Oz looked stunning, 3D and regular version. |

I want to see Blu-ray.com thrive and survive and it can that with ALL our support. I have seen very few collections that match what Vilya has so I know he is doing his part to support this hobby. ![]() |

It looks like Paramount has goofed up next week's 4K release of
![]() Mars has a peculiar new look: ![]() "Here’s a projection screen photo of the 4K..." https://thedigitalbits.com/columns/m...ts/092122-1315 Mars is also reportedly blue on the previously released 4K digital version and also on the Australian Imprint blu-ray. ![]() This is what passes for QC anymore. It is just a momentary scene, but still getting the color of Mars right shouldn't have been hard to manage or the WRONG color hard to notice. ![]() The Criterion blu-ray got it right. ![]() ![]() Same shot from the Criterion blu-ray.
