To be fair, a break might be exactly what you need. From the soaring highs of the derby to the truly crashing lows of your defeat yesterday, I don't think you'd be in the right place mentally for the next game without the break. Especially if you turn up and the stadium is empty.

Yes I would agree. It was the unnecessary 'Stadium Of Shite' comment. That stadium regularly gets bigger crowds than Liverpool despite having a mess of a team and battling against relegation the last few years. Even Tierry Henry was stunned by our support and commented that he had never seen fans like ours except when teams are about to lift the Premiership trophy( you must have forgot what that feels lke?)

If you want to play that card, fair enough. I was going to rise above it. I had plenty of opportunity to mention the 4-1 thumping you guys had at Arsenal but didn't.

These fans always come back. The Villa game and yesterday was the only times this has ever happened. People have had enough. I have had enough. We are too big a club to suffer this shite year in, year out. How many teams can you think of that would be getting 47,000 in our position? North East fans are very knowledgable and we know when players are not giving 100 percent. Those fans will never stay away for good.

To be fair, the smaller teams always have the best support, don't they? Clubs like say Liverpool are 90% glory supporters, they've never even been to Liverpool let alone Anfield but with clubs like Sunderland - and Leicester too - the fans really do become the 12th player because they are supporting their own, true, home team through thick and thin. I love that.

I mentioned we didn't turn up against Arsenal and could have easily been 6-1 if it wasn't for Mignolet.

I did mention as well you will be found out by playing three strikers even if two are playing as wide forwards. Best strike partner for Defoe would be someone like Peter Crouch and Sunderland go back to the big man little man combo like they had with Quinn and Phillips

I grew up in Leicester, so Filbert Street was our local stadium - it was literally just down the road. But yeah, my Granddad was FRAM LANDAN so he wasn't really a Leicester supporter himself, he supported the LANDAN clubs like Arsenal, Fulham and Chelsea which are places he grew up in between. As I was a kid I supported what he supported - which I suppose is glory supporting but I didn't really know any better at the time - and now I'm older and more aware of glory supporting and all that crap, I'm sticking with the club I grew up with which is Leicester and all of their yoyo goodness.

You think we don't know that? It was obvious that 3 up front was a bad idea. Palace are sharp on the break and we all knew it. I was surprised we played the same system against a much better team. It was obvious but new manager, new ideas. It's the team now that should get all the flak. Regardless of system.

A manager shakeup this late in the season is always a big gamble, it's just a shame it didn't become as much of a positive gamble for you guys like it has other clubs. I don't think you're going down though, Burnley, Hull and QPR have such a grim run to the end that if any of them manage to stay up over you guys it'll go down in the history books.

Absolutely. We sometimes get better crowds than Liverpool. That is incredible really. Anyway, I would support the club if we were in league 2 to be honest. It's in my blood.

Hope you are right. I actually think the biggest threat is Leicester. I just didn't see that coming at all. Momentum is vital and you guys seem to have it now. Hull are probably the worst form wise. However, they have burnley at home and that can be their ticket to safety. I'm not sure we will reach 34 points mate. I can't see us getting another win to be honest.

Must be worrying if the fans can see it and the manager can't. Anyone that has seen Palace this season knows they are lighten on the counter attack makes u wonder what back room staff Sunderland have.

Yeah, I think for so long the Leicester players were complacent with putting it all down to "hope and faith" and really used that as a way of taking the responsibility away from themselves a sort of, "it'll all work itself out" sorta ideal.

You can see why such complacency would come about as after each loss, everyone was too congratulatory, month after month of, "yeah we lost but we can take positives out of the game" rather than what really should be said is, "We lost. Again. This has to stop."

But then suddenly I think the realisation finally FINALLY settled - we've ****ed it. Shit, we're actually a few wins away from safety and the games are running out, we can't put this off any longer or hope for the best, we have to start actually winning games and not just talking about positives. I wish this realisation would have happened in December and then maybe our wins would be more important than the losses around us but it's better late than never.

You especially got a sense of this in the second half of the WBA game where practically every player was in the WBA half and we just kept on non stop pressure and pace. It may not have come to much for a while but it was just ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK and no matter what sort of club you're playing, that style will have its rewards.

Anyway, you guys should at least get three points from the Stoke game and you should be able to take a point away from Everton at least. Plus you've got a game in hand and a three point lead from the drop.

What are you referring to exactly? Arsenal? I admire Arsenal. they haven't just thrown money at their problems and their style is admirable. I also think highly of two members who just happen to be Arsenal fans. I would feel the same way about Arsenal if I didn't know any members who followed them. I enjoyed watching them back in the days of Tierry Henry, bergkamp etc..
apart from them, I don't rave about any other club (except my own) so not sure what you are getting at.
