I refuse to level to anything past 28 because I only have one raid piece I maxed, and rest i'm keeping non-shard till I get raid pieces. Simply put, wasting shards on non-raid gear isn't happening.

Same here with TFE guys. And same here, as well. Trying to level some other classes to be able to raid more than once a week.

Yeah. I can hold my own enough to finish the exotic bounties with a Warlock. I get a lot of postmortems, but that's enough. The voidwalker super is good for Double Downs, especially in control matches, since you often find opponents together and the effect lingers for some time. Leading with that grenade will also win you a lot of assists.

finally got to vanguard lvl 2 and bought the gloves and boots i needed. also bought the exotic helm from xur. still didn't put me up to lvl 27 yet.

i need shards and helium for all my stuff.

whats the quickest helium run? just go around the outside of the map?

There are some runs if you look at Youtube. I just ran around yesterday doing patrol missions and was able to get more than enough Helium in a little over an hour. Make sure you look in the caves for chest, they can be very rewarding on the moon.

You need 5 points of light to get to 27, so 3 armor upgrades ought to do it. Eighteen shards. If you're on later I'll take you on my Moon farm run, easy way to get helium, engrams, glimmer; 50 filaments in ten-fifteen mins.

MIKE! Hurry up and get to 28 already. You're seven light points away. Get to farming, young man.

Frankly I don't understand what Bungie is thinking with Warlock so-called "balance" in PvP. It's god-awful, and Bungie is supposed to be good at this.

My main character is a Warlock, and most of the time I use Voidwalker in PvP. I'd have to disagree with you that its specials are terrible. The Voidwalker's special is awesome, and can easily clear out multiple guardians...especially if you're playing Control. It's basically a huge grenade/3 smaller grenades that takes out anyone in short-medium range from you, so I don't know why you think it's terrible.

The Sunsinger's supers can be a bit harder to use, but they serve their purpose and can be deadly with the right person controlling it.

Because the other classes have similar AoEs that are flat better. They aren't terrible in a Vacuum, they are terrible in a relative sense.

The Sunsinger special is grenade spam, in a game where Grenades aren't that powerful in PvP. They are only deadly if it's the right person using it combined with opponents who are not the good.

I'm awful at PvP and even I can dodge grenades in this game.

Note: Warlocks are great in PvE, like the Sunsinger special is phenomenal in PvE.

I agree the grenades are crap in this game, unless you are playing COntrol and you land one on a flag, I've had triple kills because my granade lingers and people run in to it. But thats abot as good as they get.

I was just playing my 2nd character (level 20 Hunter), and while doing the first story mission on Venus, I grabbed a blue engram. So I went to the Cryptarch and he gave me a Legendary fusion rifle! I couldn't believe it.

Why not use the ascendant materials on ur gear? They're easy enough to get.

Wat!? energy and shards are by far the hardest to obtain enough of them. 1 upgrade to a legendary weapon will use 6, to fully upgrade that 1 weapon will need 18! for 1 weapon. Same for the armor but with shards and any raid armor will need 7 shards per upgrade, so that 1 raid armor piece will eat up 21 shards.

When I have enough coin, I'll buy from Xur, just to dismantle for energy or shards.

So I fully upgraded the queens helmet but I got an exotic helmet instead. Will I get anything for dismantling the queens helmet since it's upgraded or nothing because it's the queens ?
