not even two weeks ago i was thinking i needed to buy something, thinking mind you no searches didn't go anywhere and then the next day started getting ads for it. almost like they can scan our brain waves, maybe it was a matrix glitch.

I know how that feels, but have you ever searched for it at all?

Btw, everyone should go under location services and system services and review significant locations. Eye opening!

Yep, had to do it for the first time last night.

After you check in it prompts you to take a pic of your ticket..

After you receive your ticket you simply take a shot of it & then it will provide you with a confirmation message shortly thereafter.

The "take a picture of a ticket stub" thing doesn't seem like that big of a deal (I haven't been asked to do so).

However, one of the local theaters here gives you just a generic "Admit One" carnival ticket (it's a one screen theater). I wonder if that would be problematic?

Probably. Do they give you any receipt for the credit card purchase? If so, I would include that in the shot as well, just to be safe.

Has anyone been asked to take a picture of their ticket stub who hasn’t received the email? I don’t believe I received the email.

If I created a fake movie theater and paid 500 $10 a month to swipe their card once a day for the "movie of the day".... I could make a cool $145,000 a month from Movie Pass.... I might have to pay them each $1 a day to give them an incentive. So I could set the movie price at $11, and then make $10 profit on each ticket.

How long has it taken for people to get a reply from either the app chat or an email support ticket?

I've heard nothing since Saturday from the app chat. And nothing since Monday for the support ticket.

New app updates throws theaters outta whack. Shows significantly less theaters, until you zoom and scroll to specific locations, then click "search here".

My roomie was freaking out this morning because two theaters disappeared that happened to be within a few miles from our place. I don't have auto updates on my phone, so my app is still running fine. I won't update unless it forces me to or until it gets fixed.

I had an issue on February 13, so I asked for help via app chat. Today is March 8. Haven't received a response yet.

Try Twitter, apparently it's the only thing they check on a regular basis.

My husband and I both have an account but for the past 2+ weeks we continuously get a notification that says "failed to create a reservation" when we try to do E-Ticketing. The problem is that the only theater anywhere near us is an E-Ticketing theater so we don't have any other options. Does anyone know how to fix this error? I have called and spoke to customer service multiple times, but no one there seems to know why it would be doing that! We have uninstalled the app, logged out, installed updates, etc. and nothing works!

Sounds like a problem between MoviePass and the theater's reservation system, i.e. not something you can fix unfortunately. Best thing to try might be talking to employees at the theater to see if they have any insight into other people having the problem.

Man, my MoviePass is going to get a workout this weekend/week! I was already wanting to see Gringo, Hurricane Heist, Strangers: Prey at Night, and Thoroughbreds, and now apparently Love, Simon is having sneak previews on Saturday so that may be my Saturday film. Plus I still haven't yet seen Death Wish or Peter Rabbit.

Good thing next week only brings Tomb Raider ...and Love Simon if I decide to hold off on that one. (I doubt Flower or 7 Days in Entebbe will open near me)

Yeah, I still have yet to get to Red Sparrow, plus seeing A Fantastic Woman tonight. Then Thoroughbreds, Strangers 2, and a screening of Mohawk on Tuesday.

Yeah, I'm not gonna see Gringo or Hurricane Heist with my card. Then they'll get the impression that we actually wanna see more movies like that. I'm not even sure I'll watch Strangers 2, the first one was just underwhelming.

Whaaaaat? The first one is one of the very rare, very few wide release horror films that's pretty much universally loved within the horror community.

Meanwhile, MoviePass will be paying for my three viewings of A Wrinkle in Time this weekend.

Seriously? I think they both look like the kind of fun mid-budget movies that we don't get enough of anymore.
I am far more interested in seeing those than, say, A Wrinkle in Time or Red Sparrow. I already had near-zero interest in Wrinkle in Time, and the reviews have solidified it as a pass for me.

As for Strangers 2, I am hearing mixed things about it, but I am interested. The first one I was mixed on as well - it was a good concept and beginning but I admit devolved into about 25 too many cheap jump scares
