My 4K copies of Highlander and Carrie (the steelbook) just arrived from Amazon. They were in mint condition. Gonna probably watch Highlander tonight. I finished my Star Trek: Discovery binge this morning with S4.

My copy of Highlander 4K arrived without the digital code. I wrote to Lionsgate about it, but who knows when they will get back to me. I would hate to return the whole thing just over a missing code.

Enjoyed it a lot. I will have to go back and watch the "Short Trek" films to fill in some backstory gaps.

The species 10 beings were awesome.

I have been on the fence with this one. A horror movie buddy at work was a big Meh with it. We are usually aligned on most titles, so I have held off so far. Is it that good?

I am happy to report that Lionsgate replaced my missing Highlander digital code within 4 hours of my requesting it. That's customer service done right.

On youtube there is a short (11 minutes) film called Laura Hasn't Slept. This is a kind of prequel so it does a much better job or representing the overall movie than anything else.

It's hard for me to quantify how good it is or how much you would like it.
Audio, Video, and effects were solid. I happened to love it and enjoyed it again last night.

Maybe I did see it ... Certainly not with the proper cinematic presentation.

It has been a long time since seeing this on HBO or Showtime so I rented this title via Netflix disc. All they had was the DVD version and the music track was beyond awful because of the audio processing (limiting, compression and EQ). Stopped about 30 minutes in because it was so irritating.

So tell me (us) what you think of the sound track on the BD. Same for anyone else that gets this title.

You both need to correct that.

Not having seen Highlander is even worse than not having seen The Wicker Man 1973.

The sequel, Highlander II: The Quickening, is a complete mess although it manages to have its fans, but I am certainly not one of them..

gotmule can evaluate the audio far better than I with my lowly 9 speaker arrangement and no subwoofers. I think he has REL Predators stacked floor to ceiling every six feet or so and powered by in-home nuclear fusion.
