Unless it is an error the blu-ray version is cheaper than the dvd version.

DVD Link

Shipping isn't bad either. This is what I get when I go through the check out process:

Récapitulatif de commande Amazon.fr
Articles : EUR 154,67
Livraison : EUR 10,90

Total HT : EUR 165,57
TVA : EUR 0,00

Roughly $230.240 US dollars

They're going to squeeze three more movies out of the Harry Potter franchise -- I'd wait until they've got the films in the can before I go buying any collector's sets at this point.

On the amazon.fr page of the product you can read "6 Blu-ray
- 2 emplacements vides pour les 2 Blu-ray de Harry Potter 7 parties 1 et 2" which means in english : "Content: 6 blu rays and 2 free rooms for the 2 last blu rays of Harry Potter 7 part 1 and 2"!

For all the people who are wondering... This is not an exclusive to France... It's just that amazon.fr anounces almost every DVD and Blu-ray very very early. Arround september/october I'm sure it will be announced in the US

I'm sure it'll never happen....but it would be nice if Warner would release a seperate empty Hogwarts Castle case for those who already own the first 5 movies but would like the case.

You might see one pop up on eBay at some point, I guess.

I'm glad it's made to contain all 8 movies, too bad I already have the first first on BD. Guess I knew this was coming.

It looks like they just took this: http://www.noblecollection.com/catal...N7074&catid=21 and added a drawer to it that could fit the discs. Still, with how much that thing costs there, and the fact that for less than that you get it plus the first 6 on blu-ray, the deal looks amazing.

It sure looks like it is the same model/mold with a drawer added.

Am i being stupid.... but the 6th movie hasn't even arrived in cinemas yet...

So how come this set has been announced before the 6th blu-ray has even been officially announced.

Are we to assume that the 6th movie will arrive on Blu on November 15th... as that would be just a mere 4 months after the cinematic release

Which seems rather soon.

There's a new law that's forcing studios to release movies quicker in France. It's usually 6 months (bleh) but for this time, I reckon Warner just want to make it for the Christmas sales.

Didn't it change for 4 months? I'm pretty sure it did, otherwise warner wouldn't be able to sell this item on November

When I said "usually", I meant the fact that the old law was like that.

I'm not sure of the exact length, but wasn't it more 3 months?

But why would anyone buy this now, when you KNOW they are going to come up with something much more elaborate for the "complete 8 film collection" and even then release some sort of uber "uncut versions" collector sets...it's no secret substantial scenes were trimmed from all the films, especially 1 and 2 - and I'd bet my left knee we're going to see "Extended" cuts just as soon as humanity is finished buying the regular cuts.

You mean "it used to be" 6 months.
